Re: New Member with a P64 question

+1 for the Hogue Jr slip on. Cheap and non-permanent. I've had zero issues.

Re: double action trigger pull.

+1 for the 18 lb hammer spring from Wolff. The single action does become light and requires a little technique to manage after the DA pull. With a little bit of practice and it's not only manageable but excellent.

Re: Small frame inaccurate shooters

Seriously. Just get another P64. You love it, you know she loves it, you know the accuracy, and you know it's idiosyncrasies. Throw in a new hammer and recoil spring, file the detent, and whammo! For IWB carry I've been using the DeSantis PPK/PPKS Sof-Tuck Holster for about 4 months and LOVE it. At ...

Re: Where to purchase a P64 now

I just checked SOG and they're in stock. They were doing phone orders only for a while so their website only "came back online" with updated inventory and prices in the last couple days.

Re: Good news for recoil reduction AND grip enhancement

I find the hogue jr - at half the price - to be much more effective with better ergonomics. And looks better IMHO. It takes a bit of patience to slip on, but I haven't had mine budge in 6 months of daily concealed carry. I have large hands and found this little gem irreplaceable. http://www.amazon.c...

Re: FMJ or HP in 9x18?

Another +1 for Hornady Critical Defense. Shoots like a dream in both my CZ-82 and P-64 and I trust it's reputation. $16-17 box/25 from Cheaper Than Dirt. Also look at the 9x18 Mak offering from Underwood Ammo. It's a Hornady XTP HP bullet at what would be a +P loading if 9x18 had a +P spec. :-) Roug...

Re: Stiff de-cocker/safety

I had the exact same problem, which is major IMHO considering the P64 doesn't have a firing pin block (like the CZ82) isn't safe to carry without the safely/decocker engaged. As Hypnotoad mentioned, my safety was also burr free so I disassembled the decocker and very lightly and evenly filed the end...

Re: beware of reproduction mags

Beware? Why? I've heard good things about some of the newly manufactured ones from Keepshooting.com. Is there a particular source you're warning us of?
