Re: PA 63 recoil compared to P 64

I own both and find little difference in recoil. Both kick more than most of my 9s (9X19) but both are very controlable. The P 64 bothered the web of my hand but that was a sharp edge on the grip so I added a soft sleeve (not wanting to sand the grip) over the grip. The PA 63 grip felt the best with...

Re: Going to buy a 64

My first test firing I had no problems but the safety was very hard to put on and take off. When I broke it apart at home the gun showed no real wear. So I worked on the safety plunger, spring ,and detents. I left the safety a little stiff because I had read (on this site) that some worn out guns the...

Re: One more question please regards reliabilty

I bought a 1974 that looked brand new. If it was shot (probably), it wasn't much. The first time I took it out I had no problems except the safety was very hard to put on and take off. When I got it home and broke it down there was no noticable wear, so I worked on it and made the safety easier to o...

Re: Going to buy a 64

I own a 1974 that looks almost brand new and I like it. I guess you know the double action trigger pull is terrible but the single action pull is fine.

Re: Bought a P-64. Best place to Buy Magazines?

Let me know how you like the Keepshooting mags. I bought other mags from them and like them and would like one more P-64 mag. I own a 1974 and like it.

Re: Safety dropping on while shooting

I also had a safety that was very hard to work (had to put on gloves to keep from hurting my thumb). Took it apart and lightly rounded the plunger just a little, lightly filed the edges of the detents, and decided upon puting it back together that the spring was too stiff for a detent spring. So I c...
