Re: Powder
Ordered a 4lb jug on your advice day after you posted your reply. The day I ordered it Brownells said it was in stock. 3 days later I get an Email saying its backordered.
powder
Thanks to all of the shelves at the big stores being bare and all of the internet sites being Backordered or out of stock, the only powders I have is Accurate #2 and IMR Hi Skor 700. Has anyone ever used any of these powders to reload Mak ammo?

Cabela's and Bass Pro
Went to Cabela's today and Bass Pro yesterday. I was picking up reloading components. Shelves were very limited in ammo and all reloading components. Signs on each shelf saying limited purchase. The only powders they had was shotgun powders. Anyone else running into availability problems?
Powder
Right now I only have 2 cans of powder for my reloading. IMR Hi-Skor 700 and Accurate #2. Since Accurate #2 is such a tiny grained powder it leaves powder dust on my bench and my press. I use it for my practice and plinking loads. Hi-Skor is for the Jacketed hollowpoint loads. I just ordered 500 9x1...

Police trade in P-220
I bought a Police trade in P=220 in .45 ACP. I love how accurate it is. My only problem is in the mag release. With a cartridge in the mag it will drop free. Empty mag and slide locked back it will not drop at all. Slide closed it will eject about an inch when I press the mag release. Anyone else ha...

9x18 Mak brass
Any thoughts on where to order Brass for reloading 9x18 Mak ammo. Been using PPU factory ammo, because thats all I can find in my area. It's about $22 a box of 50 at Cabela's. Love shooting my P-64, but want to start reloading for it.
Re: Need help
Forgot a question. Some of the 45 brass I have is small primer pocket. Will I need to adjust powder measure for these rounds?
Re: Need help
Went to the range Thursday with about 50 rds of my first set of reloads. Cannot tell how satisfying it was to know this was the ammo I made. I used the data from the handloading basics book and the Lee Dies paper that came with the set of carbide dies. junius, I went and read almost everyone of your...
Re: Need help
Bought tumbling media today. Cleaned all my 45 brass. Is there anything I can put in it to polish the brass. It's clean but it's dull.
Need help
Bought an early Christmas preent for myself, a Lee Turrent press. Since I have never loaded Handgun ammo before, I need help setting it up. If anyone lives in or near KC, I will buy dinner if you can help me set it up.

Re: Bobbed Hammer
I marked the hammer with the pistol assembled. I then took the hammer off and used a dremel tool to cut it off. I smoothed and deburred the hammer and reblued it.

Taking friends to the range.
Took some friends from work to the gun range the other day. Some of them had never shot anything including BB guns. One was a until death I will be antigun liberal. I made sure to bring my 22 pistol to start them off with. Started at the break area and went over all safety rules and instructions wit...
