Re: P-64 won't fire in double action.

Also, check to see if the slide goes fully into battery when there is a cartridge inserted. It doesn't take but being a very little out of battery for the trigger to disconnect.

Re: P-64 won't fire in double action.

Agree with Weasel; sounds like the trigger return spring tail has come off the trigger or broken. When this happens, the trigger bar is not pushed upwards and neither is the disconnector. If the disconnector is down, the trigger "freewheels." Take the slide off and pull the disconnector al...

Re: P-64's for $199.95 at AIM Surplus

Pretty much my experience with the two I got, especially the lightened double-action trigger pulls. Either I'm getting my mojo back, or they are lighter than the other P-64s I've tried.

Then again, AIM has always treated me well.

Re: Carrying P64 w/ 1 in the Chamber, Hammer Dropped, Safety

My safety is extremely hard to move in either direction At times i need two thumbs to it. Is this typical I have oiled well. Is this normal? The safety on some P-64s is pretty balky. What I've found in most cases are burrs on the safety detents and on the detent plunger. Try polishing these out wit...

Re: Carrying P64 w/ 1 in the Chamber, Hammer Dropped, Safety

As safe as it's possible to be with a loaded pistol. When the pistol is moved from "Fire" to "Safe", not only does the hammer block come up to prevent contact with the firing pin, the firing pin is physically locked in place. (That's the purpose of that little "tit" on ...

Re: Does the P-64 definitely not have a drop safety?

There is a thread somewhere on this and most members agree that the P-64 should have the saftey on. The "security" sear tooth on the hammer is for the drop part of the safe carry. This prevents forward movement of the hammer from the at rest position. In addition, with the safety on, the ...

Re: First Gun

Can't add much to what has already been said. The CZ-82 is a great gun, a lot of features for the money. It's on the ragged edge of being too big for concealed carry though. For some reason, it (so far) has not caught on that well. The reason for that is (in my own personal opinion) is that for some...

Re: Correct de-cocking procedure?

Just to set your minds at ease, take your own (unloaded) P-64 and test it this way: With it cocked and the safety on, take a screwdriver or punch and see how far you can push the firing pin. Start coming out out of the "fire" position, note the "ears" on the safety coming up arou...

Before you order the safety, make sure you don't also need the safety detent and spring, as well as the firing pin and spring.

Yes there are about three people on GunBroker selling P-64 parts.
