Re: P64 vs. Walther PPK/S

The P64 magazine release is not as accessible as the PPK/S. For me that is not an issue. Before purchasing my P64 I was carrying a five shot Model 36 Smith. Now I have two extra rounds. Yes the ammo is a little harder to find but again not a real issue. On line or as pointed out before, most well st...

Re: Buldged Cases

Pretty sure it is just the ammo. I tried some PPU, Fiocchi and American Eagle this week, Had no problem with the Fiocchi and American Eagle but with the PPU I experienced buldged cases.

Re: Graphite lube

I have used a dry lube called Poxylube CP-200 given to me by a Lock Smith. My guess is it is a graphite substitute. Comes in a spray can. Any way, It leaves a dry whiteish film but I dindn't really trust the lubercation factor so I switched to Ballistol. I use it on my firearms, knives, and some lea...

Re: My stab at a handmade IWB

It looks like it will work just fine. I have been thinking about doing the same thing. Never worked with leather before, but am pretty handy in other things (woodwork, RC planes). I don’t see any reason not to try it. I did not realize Hobby Lobby carried such things. I will have to check them out. ...

They are selling parts guns.
I would like to see one. My luck, I would end up with a stripped slide/barrel/frame.

Re: Buldged Cases

The famous unsupported chamber area known for Ka-Boom's is with Glock 40 S&W, which have around 50% more case pressure than the 9x18 Makarov does. Even the 9mm Luger round has around that same high case pressure, but generally no issues with bulges. However, most of the Glock 40 S&W with un...

Re: Parts???

I bought some parts from the Polish seller Laukart on Gunbroker as well. It took three weeks but they arrived safely. However, I checked today and his account was inactive. Gunbroker sometimes does this automatically so hopefully he'll back up before too long. They knocked me off for 3 days after I...

Re: New guns!

Welcome. Good idea, to buy both. That way you don't have to decide on one or the other. Classic are great people to deal with. I am sure you will like both. There is a lot of knowledge here and helpful people. By the way, what brand/size holster is that? Looks nice and a good fit. Enjoy the gu...

Re: New member to this forum.

Welcome Mike, I hope you enjoy your new P64. These pistols are addicting. I got one about a month ago and a second about two weeks after that. Just love the little gun. Saw one yesterday while looking for ammo and considered buying that. Thank god I didn't have the money. Any way, there is a w...

Re: Reloading Converted 9x19 Brass Question

I used carbide dies and resizing a Mak case in my Luger die wouldn't feel any different. I have done it. Somehow I had some mixed in with my Luger brass. When I got to the part to seat the bullet and had done so, I noticed immediately that the loaded round did not look right. Sure enough, I measure...

Reloading Converted 9x19 Brass Question

This is a question I asked in another post regarding Makarov ammo. The question I have is regarding converting 9x19 Luger brass. What would happen if someone picked up your converted brass and didn't notice the shorter length/slightly larger diamater. I don't think I would, it says 9mm luger. So, no...

Re: Got Another

To help me identify my 9mm Makarov brass quickly, I use a red sharpie on the headstamps. That makes separating 9mm Mak from 9mm Luger brass quick and easy. Trimming down 9mm Luger brass for use as 9mm Makarov is the easiest case conversion ever. It helps make the loss of some 9mm Mak brass easier t...

Re: decocker lever travel not smooth

If you do as PA-joe mentioned and remove and polish it, you will notice it functions a lot smoother. It still has to push the hammer back a bit when it is forward so there is some resistance but it will be better. There is an article here some place or on the internet about removing the firing pin. ...

Re: Got Another

PPU (Privi Partizan) is high quality ammo. I buy it in several rifle & pistol calibers & have never been disappointed or experienced any problems w/it. Try it- you'll like it. BTW, $38/box? Really? I wouldn't pay that much if they came to my house, loaded my mags, stuck around til I finishe...
