Wow, she's a beauty!

Normally I'm a leave it stock kinda guy, but I have to admit that's sweet.

Re: A Newcomer with an Opinion

Thanks for sharing that. Always fun to hear from those with a "in the know" background confirming the accuracy of the P-64.

For awhile, I thought it was my incredible shooting abilities, but now I suspect it's more the gun than me.
Peace,

Greg

I'm hoping that the ammo holds out too.
Yea it is. 1933 Tula with the larger cocking knob.
The stock is much lighter in color than the pic shows, especially after I sweated all the cosmo out.

I call her Blondie. :D

Agreed. They did offer their overpriced reloads though  .

What 9x18 is OK for an indoor range?

Seems my local indoor range has put the big poo poo on all Wolf and Silver bear ammo. They say too much bi-metal in the Wolf. I suspect there's no money for them collecting non-brass shells from the Silver Bear stuff. They wont make recommendations so what say you guys? Anyone else have issues from ...

Re: Gun's in the Mail! Need some guidance, help please

I cant add much to what has been said; other than like Junioustaylor's expieriance from Gander Mountain, my P-64 from J&G needed very little attention. I dont believe the weapon was ever in cosmoline, - just dipped in oil. Broke her down and cleaned it anyways. Great way to get aquanted with all...

Re: p-64 with laser

That's awesome!

Would love a follow up pic when the grips arrive. :D

Was there much work involved getting that Arma tec laser to fit your P64?

That's a trick set up, thanks for sharing!

Re: Got an SKS

Yeah yeah, they're probably not that awesome. However, I wanted an SKS so I set out to get one. ... I think it will make a slick gun and would be a good survival rifle in my opinion. SKS's are awesome! They seem to get a bit loss in all the AK hype, but are fine weapons with a proven history. I abs...

Congrats Mike!

Hopefully your experience with J&G will be as good as mine. :D Anxious for a range report; when you can!

Re: Pattern 1914 vs. M1917 Enfields

Other than the obvious differences between .303 and .30-06, are there any differences of note between these two rifles? Old thread but what the heck... While I've never held a P-14, I understand they are equipped with a volley sight on the right side of butt stock. Here's my friend aiming my M1917 ...

Re: Difficult Safety Detent Reassembly

I too would never have considered cutting short the detent spring; but the wifey's dainty hands couldn't engage the safety  . Tried rounding out the tip of the detent pin first. A huge improvement to me; but still too stiff for the wife. In the end,(after cutting one loop at a time) I removed ...

Re: Made some videos

junius,

Awesome video!

I tried to glean what I could from other resources about the dis-assembly, - brain started to hurt!

You're well thought out videos saved my bacon as well as a couple of springs, (I'm sure).

Thanks!!

Peace,
Greg

I was wondering about this; noticed the availability of "Hex" receivers is almost non-existent as of late.

Glad I nabbed one a year ago.
