Re: Reliable CC if using safety in normally worn P-64's?

I'm not suggesting anyone do this but I'll bet the safety could be modified where it would still block/lock the firing pin yet not disengage the trigger. As it is, I would most defiantly carry with the safety on.

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in

Never Cary a gun with a round chambered and the safety off never never never. If you do you are stupid. I'm inclined to agree with this except for certain pistols that are offered with a decocker/safety and decocker only models. The 92FS/M9/PX4 and Ruger P series are good examples of this. I own bo...

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in

Safety on since it also locks the firing pin in place which equals a drop safety as well.

Re: After 2 Months Pending Dennis Has Started Machining My g

I just read this past week that the CZ82 grips need the grips spacer sold on the CZ site? It is discussed in detail here: http://forum.pafoa.org/gunsmithing-44/162058-cz-82-grips.html Can anyone confirm that? I just received a set of CZ83/82 grips directly from CZUSA and they are a tad different th...

A late update: Grip mods worked out perfectly. No abrasion and no slippage in my hand. Accuracy was superb using Silver Bear ball and HP ammo as well as S&B ball. Reliability was 100%.

This will be my new summer carry in my Bianchi 100 made for a PPK. 8)

Re: Carry question

+1 to everything above. When it comes to the internet, only one person has to have a problem with a tpye of firearm and all of a sudden, all of guns have issues. From what I read, someone had the safety off, dropped the P64 on it's muzzle and it discharged. Having the safety on would have prevented ...

Re: A Newcomer with an Opinion

I agree on the accuracy of these little guns. I recently shot mine again this weekend and the recoil was easily manageable with my grip mods and spring changes. Grip tape on the sides and a Wilson Combat checkered strap on the front. No slippage and no abrasion. Also put in a 20lb recoil spring, 19l...

Re: Wolf Spring question

Like Gary2112 said, it's a firing pin spring. Wolff includes one with every recoil spring they sell.

Thought I'd add a pic of the Bianchi 100 PPK holster that fits the P64 like a glove.

Hope it doesn't tear up yer hands, let us know how it works out.
I did the same front strap mod to my Kimber Solo and it made a huge difference.

Got the parts for my P64 & did some grip mods (pics inside)

Finally got my parts from Poland that seemed to be worn out on my P64. Looks like the only thing I needed was a new hammer strut but it never hurts to have extra parts on hand. After installing the parts I went ahead and did some grip mods to the stock grips. I took a piece of paper, laid it on top ...

Re: P64 Hammer strut peen, worn firiing pin&round recoil spri

So far I'm figuring someone changed the recoil spring and the firing pin spring was worn out and someone dry fired it quite a bit. The hammer strut is pretty peened in that one spot though. The only place that has a "new" firing pin and strut is a guy from Poland on Gunbroker. I ordered th...

P64 Hammer strut peen, worn firiing pin&round recoil spring

I recently picked up my 1971 P64 and took it down for cleaning and installation of the Wolff springs when they arrive. The hammer and sear look to be in excellent condition with almost no wear but I had a few questions about other parts. I noticed the hammer strut seems to be peened down in an area ...

Re: Piscking up a P64 in a few days and I'm wondering what I

Welcome to the forum bro. I have the 22lb spring and it is still pretty snappy. As far as old springs go IMO I don't see how a spring can lose it's "springyness" from non use even after 40yrs especially if it looks like it was not issued. I read where a 1911 mag was found loaded after sit...
