Re: Where do you get your ammo?
Never purchased or shot commercial ammo in the P-64, but even as a reloader things are very bad. Was using Berrys Plated, who are no longer taking new orders, as they now show they are 6 to 8 month's behind on current orders. 3 months ago they shipped same day. With the government placing new huge o...

Re: Makarov target practice game
You only get 3 rounds then you start over Must be designed for the very near future, when we are down to only being able to have guns with less than 4 rounds, and right before they fully ban them. I can hear them now... "See, this sim proves you don't need more than 3 rounds, and 90% of gun ow...
Re: Powder
I use W231 (HP38) for all pistol calipers from 32's to 45's, and it always works great.

Re: New P64 ('U-FIX-EM')
Couple things I would be concerned about are that BATF does not allow C&R direct shipping on parts guns, so they need to ship these to normal FFL dealer and pay an FFL transfer fee (+$25), and the magazine (+$25). Add in shipping of $34 and after spending a total of $184 before you can even test...
Re: Need help
Swish the brass in a sealed container with some white vinegar for a minute or two and it should be shiny again. I store it in a mayonnaise jar and reuse several times. I only use a Harbor Freight (exact same as Lyman Turbo Sonic 2500) ultra-sonic cleaner (3 to 4 cycles using mixture of: 1 teaspoon B...

Re: Trigger wont set...newbie help here
Sometimes it might take a day for replies to start flowing in. But they will. Issue sounds familiar. Check out this thread for starters, which after trying many different things, finally lead to the fix for me. Here is some of what is posted there: "While the problem I am having was limp trigge...

Re: S&W M&P Shield 40 Vs P64 Pocket Carry
Update on Shield after about 600 rounds. This has raised the scale on what I think a pocket gun should be. After adding Apex Shield carry kit, trigger is as good or better than any full size hand gun I have tried, including 1911 Gold Cup match with trigger jobs. With the very good standard factory 3...

Re: Pocket carry of P-64?
I was pocket carrying the P-64. The link below is a review of how the P-64 compares with one of the latest highly sought after pocket carry pistols out there today, the S&W Shield. The 40 and 9 shields are exact same size. While not as powerful, the P-64 works in that barely pocketable group, an...

Re: Share Those Customized Plinkers!
Fun for lizards at 50 yards. Not really customized, as Ruger was on the ball with these "pistols". If the Charger is anywhere as accurate as my 22/45, its got to be a lot of fun. I was plinking a 5"x10" steel plate at 100 yards fairly consistantly with open sites. When I mounted...

Re: P64 safety catch
Text message sent. When my catch broke, I ordered one from Poland. Then later that day saw the other seller in Miami and since I wanted it now, ordered one from him too. Turns out while his online shows Miami, Michal moved to New Jersey and never changed online location. So I ended up with 2 that bo...

Re: Another Chronograph Session
Nice results.
For comparison to my recently tested Bodyguard 380, the 9x18 does better.
Federal 95gr FMJ (OAL = .958 -.964)
853 fps, pf=81, 154 ft/lbs, ES-61, SD-16
(23 round test string) Hi = 877, Low = 816

Re: Correct de-cocking procedure?
I would also add that if you intend on later racking the slide, you should flip the safety back to off or ready to fire position position first, while slide is already in it's normal fully forward position. While not all P64's behave the exact same way, probably due to varying degrees of wear and te...
