Re: Just received my first P64

Ahoy!
Swap out the springs, and take that new lead slinger to the range. Mine will drive tacks at out to 25 yards. You will indeed love it.
I carry mine as a spare back up.

Re: Newbie here. Naive question..

Ahoy!

I agree with dfunk, I painted my front sight red, and the rear outlined in white. With this set up the sights show up great!

Problem with these great little pistols are just like peanuts- "One is not enough!"

Re: New (to me) P-64

Ahoy! Welcome aboard! I think you will find a big improvement on the DA and SA with the replacement springs. Handloads are a way to shoot on the cheap too. Plus you have the added lower recoil also. Let us all get a range report from you when you get the chance, my P64 is a tack driver for sure. Tra...

Results

Ahoy!

Took my P64 out to the range for a test of a new loading, here is the load:

93 grn Lead RN bullet
4 grains of Winchester 123
Winchester Primer
Mixed lot of Original 9x18 brass with some trimmed 9x19

Range was 7 yards-which I feel is good for most social encounters.

Ahoy!

On the forum it is recommended to cut off a couple coils. Remember you can always cut more off, but can't put it back on. Cut a little at a time until you get satisfactory results. Replacement springs can be found on Gunbroker.

Re: P-64 advice!! Please help!

Ahoy! Did you clean up the channel the spring fits into? I did the same to mine and ran a very small cleaning bush into that channel the spring/tip fit into. I also followed the recommendations and trimmed a very small amount of the spring back. Those changes made a big difference! You might add jus...

CZ 82 on TV

Ahoy!

Did anyone notice that on the TV show "Body of Proof" a CZ 82 was used in the show? Look at the 9 second mark as the pistol is taken out of a dresser drawer. http://abc.go.com/watch/body-of-proof/S ... llen-angel
