Considering that the blueing process used on most firearms of this era did not add any thickness to the parts it did not change the tolerances at all so it could easily be done after firing just a quick polish of the metal to remove scratches and then blue it. Now that is not correct with parkerizin...

Now as to the question of finish NOT being disturbed, I know that some times parts are tested prior to having their final finish applied so they have to apperance of never having been "used" and Radom may have followed that practice.

And what would be your response to find the threat bearing down on you with a raised edged or blunt force weapon and 12 feet from you and you need to raise your off arm to block that blow? How do.you draw and chamber with only one hand in order to change your gun from a blunt force, ie striking weap...

ok, if the pin is only supposed to go in from one side then the thinner end goes in first. And you need to make sure that the alignment of trigger and frame holes are perfect as ANY misalignment will keep the pin from going through. AND it MAY be possible that a small, very very small amount of fitt...
