Re: P64 Stovepipes

Is the recoil spring on the barrel correctly? The narrow end needs to be on the breach end of the barrel. I am thinking that if it is reversed that maybe the slide is not retracting as far as possible thereby causing the weak ejection and stovepipe issue. Maybe?

Re: Alternative to safes?

Oh, I misunderstood, sorry. I had to make a temporary secure space once too and I used a Stack On gun cabinet. I set it on a concrete block in the basement of the temporary abode with the back against the steel support collum the centerline house supports were resting on and then wrapped a 3/4 inch ...

Re: Alternative to safes?

Depending on the departments attitude towards the local peasantry traveling armed a small NBC equipped bunker in your vehicle may not be deemed acceptable. Before purchasing a "mobile safe" please check you tube or vimeo for the locksmith guy that shows how incredibly easily most of these safes are ...

Re: P64 Stovepipes

Is the extractor hook broken? This gun being a straight blowback action will fully cycle without an extractor but fully positive extraction of the case so it always clears the ejection port is not 100% without the help of the extraxtor hook pulling the case back hard against the ejector. Check the e...

Re: Magazines for new owners

Problem there is there is a very limited supply of mags to be had. And considering that these pistols have been imported now for the last 8-10 years, it is possible that perhaps Keep Shooting may be the only ones to step up and make some.
Let us know how they work please.

Re: Magazines for new owners

You could always pop the extra bucks for the oem ones. 2 for $65.00 aint too bad right now.
But if you do buy one of the United Defense mags please report back on how it works. A bunch of people here have been wondering if they have gotten better.

Re: Magazines for new owners

The United Defense mags are made by Keepshooting. They have had a spotty record for quality. But I have not heard of anyone buying them recently so there have been no recent reviews so maybe they have gotten their poop in a group and making decent mags.

Re: Snap caps

Why not use .380 snap caps? The extractor will hold the cap to the breach face as the cartridge dimensions are reeaally close. And the spring loaded primer will be in the same place to absorb the pin hit, AND because it is not a live round you don't have to worry about the problems of firing a .380 ...
