Re: Newby with double fire issue

DJ I wish you luck in resolving your problems and hope we have been some help to you. Please let us know what your trigger weight on SA turns out to be and if your smith finds a way to increase the weight, that knowledge would benefit quite a few of us here. Good luck sir.

Re: Newby with double fire issue

Djmier, I am not aware of a way to increase the single action trigger pull weight as the pull weight with the stock sear is so light so replacing it with another stock sear will not get you anywhere in that direction. Short of making a custom sear to increase the SA pull weight, an action that would...

Re: Newby with double fire issue

djmier, I am sorry I forget the spring question. Swapping out the springs usually involves both the recoil and hammer springs. These can be had at Wolff Springs, https://www.gunsprings.com/POLISH%20/P64%20/cID1/mID49/dID196. My suggestion is to get the recoil spring calibration pak as it gives you 3...

Re: Newby with double fire issue

Sir, congrats on finding the brother hood here, you should find an answer to all your questions given the cumulative knowledge here. First, do you have any ides if the guns original springs have been swapped out for lighter ones or if any other 'smithing has been done on he gun. My bet is that the d...

Re: P64 Trigger works fine until top slide on pistol

Does the trigger work in single action mode? And does the safety also work as it is supposed to?

Re: I just bought a broken P64...

And NO it is NOT safe to fire in that condition. You may possibly find a smith that will weld it back together and reshape it for proper function but DO NOT fire it in it's current condition.

Re: Help please re: old tula 9x18 makarov ammo

Never heard the name TCW before, did a little research and found out it was Wolf before a name change. 109 grain seems a bit hotter load and I would think it would be fine in the Mak and prbly would not hurt the P64, but as hard as the P64 recoils with 95 grain loads, why shoot it with a heavier, ha...

Re: Polish P-83 Slide Cracked (Pics!)- Need help to find a spare!

Remember sir this is a P-64 site and not everyone here has a P-83 nor knows much about them. Your sarcasm is not necessary nor appreciated. I am glad you found the parts gun and can get it back up and running. One of our other Brothers, OG17 also had a problem with his P83 and he also ended up getti...

+1 on keeping it for a parts gun, if you can afford to. The part it could not supply you with is a safety of course but perhaps all other parts would be there.

I have had reasonable results with Classis although shipping was a bit slow on one purchase.

Re: P64 Newb, assumptions and input requested from the collective p-64 brain.

Yup, it's broke! Damn, thinking maybe that the safety had one too many drops / dry fires without a snap cap and the safety barrel had a manufacturing defect in it. Sorry to see that. Let us know how it works out with AIM.
