16# hammer spring report

I gotta second bzinggg, the inertia of even dropping the gun could result in a discharge.
Safety first.

16# hammer spring report

Norm, I think an 18# spring might work, very good suggestion. I put the stock spring back in, cleaned and lubed everything and it does seem the more you use the P-64 the better the DA feels. I am now ready to test out my polished feed ramp and new Zee grips again. Yes the DA pull is a safety feature...

16# hammer spring report

Yes, this is not about one fix fits all. It did not work on my 1977, and my 1973 is a collector, just puttin er away. Some may not like flat panel grips. I didn't think I would. Boy did I change my mind. "Revolver Guy" disclaimer translates, zero tolerance for an auto that jams or is not accurate, o...

ZeeGrips...Need a favor

Big ol 10-4 on thanks for helping Zee out. I just tried my Zee grips out this past weekend and I have less "percieved recoil" and really think it improved the accuracy another notch. More natural "purchase" with Zee grips?? I have my heart set on green with black swirl for next order. Keep up the go...

16# hammer spring report

bzinggg, papabear You guys rock!!! I was expecting controversy on my test. If it works for some people that is great, but I will not sacrifice reliability for a soft DA pull. Actually the P-64 is the first auto that I really fell for because of it's accuracy. Once I have 100% reliability ( and I thin...

16# hammer spring report

Well got to the range this weekend. 16# hammer spring installed, polished feed ramp, Zee's grips. I used Wolf ammo as the "acid" test because my gun did not feed it well before polishing the feed ramp. Zee's flat panel grips were a joy, even had less perceived recoil, and the accuracy was stunning, ...

Has any one slugged their bore yet

Thanks Norm, I will e mail you. I have not reloaded pistol rounds but I may some day. Gave away a free reloader about 5 years ago. Probably a bad move.

Has any one slugged their bore yet

himmel, Sad part is I laugh at my own stupid jokes. This is a great forum for info. Good group too. Lucky I was able to get on this forum. I now have a P-64 with 18# hammer spring, Zee grips and a polished feed ramp. Hopefully it will feed wolf now. Still need to try her out at range. The little bug...

How good are these little handguns?

I will back up P64 on the accuracy part. I was very impressed with it's ability to hit bowling pins @ 25 yds. Mine does not like Wolf ammo. But I just polished the feed ramp and am hoping that will fix any further problems with feeding. Mine has a nice blue finish, especially for a milserp gun. Get ...

Has any one slugged their bore yet

Norm, That is a good Idea for inspecting bore / chamber size. When I used to work in quality we had a two part goop plastic stuff to make molds and then mic the molds or use an optical comparator to check size. Um I get blocked on a lot of links so I could not read entire post. Iksnay i'm kinda @ wo...

Has any one slugged their bore yet

Norm, I imagine you used a pin gauge set and worked your way up to .363"? That works out to .363 inch X 25.4 mm / Inch = 9.22mm. From what I read the Soviet Block countries did not want the Mak ammo to fit the NATO 9mm guns. Mak is a silly .22mm bigger : ) What you measured is the " minor diameter" ...

Number 2

Got my 2nd about a month ago.

Hope that keeps the munchies away for a while.

Polished the feed ramp on first one, put in 16# Wolf Walther hammer spring ( big difference on DA, and SA is really sweet ).Installed Zee's flat grips.
Can't wait to try her out now.

New P-64 Owner

Welcom PshootR, This is a great forum. I cracked my left grip panel after about 200+ rounds of Wolf, Winchester, S&B...... Just put on new grips from Zee. I have not shot it yet but the flat panel feels much better and if you have big hands it should be better yet. I was looking to buy a place off o...

P-64 Grips

I think papabear may have hit the nail on the head. Zee's grips fit better. And the P-64 has come to the head of the line as far as CCW. The grips make em real slim. I can carry it in my pocket and it really does not stick out. 6 + 1 firepower, slim profile, accuracy and a respectable round make the...

Earliest model?

I have a 77. From the ones I have looked at they are all the same quality. At least visably.
