Beavertail?

Okay, well this took longer than I expected. Long story short, I haven't had as much time to work on this as I had wanted, and the project is moving at an exceedingly slow pace. At this point I have the wood, and have made a patern to trace onto it, but that is about as far as I have gotten. When I ...

Beavertail?

Well, it took a few days but I got some scrap wood that I am not afraid to mangle for the sake of experimentation; so, starting tomorrow, I will begin work on this. My plan is to try different things, two- and three-peice construction, palm swell and no, different contours on the backstrap. I don't ...

P64 Jamms

Was the saftey off or on? With the P-64 hand cycling with the safty on can cause the slide to not go completely into battery if not allowed to simply fly forward under spring pressure. I admit this is a long-shot (clever gun pun) but anything is possible in the world of firearms.

Reloading Press! ;D

Well, at least for sport/fun. If you are going to carry for defense, definately use a well tested factory round, then some gung-ho lawyer can't say you were "acting with malice" when you loaded some hollowpoints to factory levels.....

9x18 can it be reloaded using 9x19 equipment?

I hopes that you are still checking this post, I have whipped out the handy reloading manual and compared both cartriges. I have come to the following conclusion: The conversion is surely possible, and very simple, as stated before, just use a set of sizing dies to enlarge the mouth and trim to leng...

The loads I have been using are 95 grain FMJ. They still happily bite the hand that holds them (mine ;D). I admit that this may be result of a high grip by a revolver trained, relatively large hand on this small auto. In the past I have tried to conciously keep a lower grip, but it just feels...wron...

Beavertail?

Almost everybody (including myself ;D) who has fired the P-64 has noticed that the recoil of the little pistol can only be described as "wow, a little more than I expected." Ever since that first pair of bloody railroad tracks, (read: "first round outta the thing") I have been se...
