Re: J&G Sales P-64 Quality

Wish I had a camera up to post the condition my P64 from J&G came in. Lots of holster wear, thankfully no pitting or rust. As I unpack, I'll look for my wife's camera to post a pic. Mechanically, nothing is wrong with mine thank God. Swapped out the hammer spring (which took longer than it shoul...

Re: J&G Sale on P-64's

Mine came in the middle of last week! She's a 1971 model and looks like she's seen her share of holsters. DA pull is what is to be expected, barrel looks like it's brand new. Safety feels like it could get stuck halfway between on and off if I don't use enough force, but I'm not gonna worry about it...

Re: Question about Recoil Springs

Ah, I thought you HAD to change the recoil spring as well. I have not fired stock yet, as it's on the little brown truck getting ever so closer to me as we speak lol. I plan on buying the hammer spring pack from Wolff. That way I have a few options.

Question about Recoil Springs

So, newb question number 1. What spring weight would you recommend for the recoil spring? I'm doing the 18lb for the hammer spring, but not so sure about the recoil one...Thanks in advance!

Long time lurker on the forums here. Finally decided it's time to jump in and become an active part of the community. Just wanted to say thanks for all of the information here. I'm ordering my first P64 today, so expect plenty of newbie questions lol.

Re: J&G Sale on P-64's

Sometimes I think the "hand select" is the greatest marketing gimmick ever created. Statistically I find it to be moot when I am told they will take 4-5 guns, out of say 300, and I will get the best (visual only) one out of that small insignificant group. I have never done it and have nev...

Re: J&G Sale on P-64's

Thinking of picking one up today (just don't know if I should go with J&G or not). Quick newb question. Should I pay the extra cost for a "hand select" model, or just take my chances? I mean, I might just pay the $20 more at AIM for there "overall excellent" ones...
