Trigger bar repair?

Trigger bar broke and I can't locate a replacement. Has anyone ever tried having it welded to repair? It so did it hold?

Firing my P64 last weekend; it was working fine, placed safety on and when I flicked the safety off the trigger was still moving freely. Thanks for the welcome wishes and for the information that my new pistol is functioning correctly. I would hate to have problems right from the get go. I was amazed at how easy it is to field strip for cleaning, hope it shoots as good as it looks.
