Re: Any one us Hornady XTP 95 gr HP 9x 18

Hornady Custom XTP are what I carry in my 64 everyday. I find less perceived recoil with these particular rounds than I do with any other round (including plain ol' ball) that I've tried. They are extremely accurate in my gun... (which is to say, EVERYTHING is pretty darn accurate in this gun). They...

Re: The Polish Police just bought 10,000 new pistols.

From Detroit. :-D

I carry 64 because it works, and it disappears. I have many other pistols that I could carry, but for work and other times when printing might be frowned upon, the 64 in a Crossbreed mini-tuck is perfect.

Re: Crossbreed

When you are wearing the P-64 in the Crossbreed... do you ever reach back just to make sure it's still there? LOL. Mine just... disappears. :-)

Re: Crossbreed

Ha! Great feedback guys! Let's see... lklawson- yes! I believe that Kydex DOES wear the finish off of a weapon slightly faster than leather... (all things being equal). This is particularly the case at the edges of the Kydex. HOWEVER- any gun I carry is immediate written off in my head as a tool tha...

To clarify- The S&W Bodyguard Crossbreed fits the P-64, and THAT is the rig I'm raving about. :-D

Crossbreed

Hey guys... I haven't been on here for months, and really the reason I haven't been on here is- I have absolutely no reason to be! I have been carrying my P-64 EVERYDAY with NO issues at all. I draw the weapon from my carry rig about once a month when I go to my cabin, and it fires EVERY TIME WITHOU...

It's what I carry... I've only shot 40 rounds due to the cost, but ZERO (0) malfunctions.

http://www.p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3994 Welcome! Feel free to vote your conscience! (...and discuss your reasons why!) For me..... one in the chamber, safety off. I also noticed that you mentioned cocking a 1911 before firing. I carried a 1911 for years in what is commonly know...

Re: modified hammer (pic inside)

If I read the original post correctly, the reason to chop the hammer does not have to do with a hammer biting into "flank steak", it's to prevent the firearm from accidentally discharging if dropped. Have you had a chance to test fire it?

Re: modified hammer (pic inside)

Ummm....... wow. I'm surprised reducing the hammer mass didn't affect reliability. If It's 100% reliable, it's kind of an ingenious solution. I would be afraid to try it myself.

Re: P 1964

I have a 64 that was built the same year I was... 1969. I chose the '69 out of the two that were for sale (the other was a '73) specifically because I liked the idea of having a pistol manufactured the same year I was. I understand where you're coming from.....
