Hi Folks-New 1972 model P-64 owner. I've been reading this site for a week weeks, and I am impressed with the level of knowledge floating around. What a great web site!

Re: trigger does not release hammer.....
Hi Norm,
I did not take out the cartridge indicator. I removed and cleaned the safety pin and the safety pin chamber, however. The cartridge indicator appears to work normally. When a round is in the chamber, the indicator projects out the back of the slide as it should.
Thanks

Re: trigger does not release hammer.....
Hi Norm,
What is the best way to tell if it's in full battery? (sorry to ask such a beginner question). When I rack the slide, both with or without a round in the chamber, it looks the same to me.
Thanks!
George

Re: trigger does not release hammer.....
Hi Gents-thanks for the replies. Norm, I checked, and it looks like the trigger return spring is in place. I had trouble getting the slide stop bar off, but I found with the aid of a flashlight, I could look through the hole and visually see the spring was in place below that little stop without rem...

Re: trigger does not release hammer.....
I am having the same problem. My safety broke, so I replaced it. I cleaned and reassembled the gun.. Empty, the safety and trigger work as they should. I chamber a round, and move the safety to fire, and the trigger feels disconnected and does not actuate. What should I be looking for?
Thanks!
Thanks!
