Remove magazine finger extension
OK, I jumped in with both feet and did the mod today. I took a dremal and cut off the finger extension. I really like the way it turned out. I have always held the gun with my pinky finger under the extension anyway (hands are too large), so it feels the same when holding the gun. The extension is a...

Any familiar with Thunderwear?
Bought the new version of Pager Pal this last weekend at a gun show in Fort Worth. It is a half inch longer than the previous version and is made of softer leather. I like it a lot and it seems to work perfectly with the P64 (size Large)

Remove magazine finger extension
Has anyone removed the finger extension on the magazine. It seems to me the gun would be easier to conceal without the extension. I tried to remove it, but stopped because I did not want to destroy the extension. Has anyone tried this, or have you done it successfully?

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull
UPDATE: I went to the range today. I have to admit, I had to re-learn how to shoot the gun. On the very first shot, I did an acidental double tap. I had read about this and was even watching for it, but it still surprised me. I thought at first that I would have to go back to the original spring, bu...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull
Put in the 16# spring yesterday. Much improved over the stock trigger pull. I still need to go to the range and try it out. SA is still good, not to light.

Now for something completely different
I have a SW 1911 and love it. I have to admit, though, I can shoot better with the P64 than with the 1911. I think because of the recoil.

Hello New P-64 owner here
Hello all ... :D I have had my P64, '76 for about a year now. I have looked for an informative website for a while, but just stumbled on this site a couple of days ago. Awsome site! and everyone seems full of help and info. Today I ordered a #16 spring from gunsprings.com based on what I found here....
