Dumping mags ? ? ?

Hello one and all, I've got two P-64's -- one for "shooting" and one that is brand-spanking new. The new one rides in a Polish holster and is a safe-queen. The other one goes with me to the range every now and then. Both of them have a 18 pound Walther hammer spring in them. The "shoo...

FEG .380

I think you're gonna like your new FEG ! ! I've got two of these little gems -- a R-61 in 380 ACP caliber and a RK-59 in 9 Mak caliber. Both have a blued steel slide and a "natural" alloy frame. Found the R-61 at a toy show about a year ago and then found the RK-59 about a month later. I'v...

14#, 16# or 18# springs ???

I'll agree son . . . I tried a 16 pound spring on one of my P-64's. Would fire a round in the double action mode, but primer hit was a little "light". Installed a 18 pound spring in both of my P-64's. Each has been thru at least 100 rounds since them. ZERO problems. I'd say stick with the ...

Fobus paddle holster

Hello pup ! ! Got some good news and some bad news . . . . . :-[ Since I have this love affair with pocket pistols it seems that I've collected a lot of holsters for them too. Pulled out my Fobus for my PPK/s and gave it a try. Sorry . . bad news . . . . appears the slide on the PPK/s is a little th...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull

Well . . . here's my 2 cents . . . Placed an order from Wolff and had my order in only five days ! I ordered, amoung other things, 16# and 18# Walther springs. I installed the 16# spring and thought it seemed a little "light" so installed the 18# spring and headed to the range. Spring chan...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull

Thanks JPB ! !

My little P-64 always ran fine, until I clipped off the spring (and that little washer is in place). Must have approx 300 rounds thru it.

I've ordered from Wolff several times in the past, so it looks like it's time to order again.

Thanks again for the reply ! ;D

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull

Need some help please . . On my "1973" I removed the mainspring and clipped-off one and one-half coils and reinstalled. Took the pistol to the range and noticed that every 10-12 rounds or so the mag would "drop down". In other words the mag release would let-go and the mag would ...

What year are you shooting?

1973 and 1975. Both with flat grips and the triangle hammer spur.

The 1975 came with one matching mag. :)

Cracked safety selector

This safety CAN be repaired ! !

If you have both pieces, find a QUALITY gunsmith and send him/her the broken safety.

These can be silver-soldered with little trouble.

I would "semi-retire" the pistol, but it can be repaired.

Hope this helps . . .

ATF and the P-64

Sorry, but . . . .

the P-64 is not a "locked breech" pistol.

It's a "blow back" action. :o

A day at the range . . .

Thanks for the replies, gents ! I really love "pocket pistols" and the P-64 is one of my all time favorites ! "Cost effective" , reliable, and cheap to shoot -- what more can you ask for ? ? and novgarod . . . not sure what your asking. All I recorded was the velocity of 10 round...

A day at the range . . .

Hello one and all, Found this GREAT site thru another Makarov site that I read on a daily basis. Picked-up my first P-64 about a year ago and my second one in September. I find the P-64 to be a very neat little pocket pistol and both of mine now have had approx 300 rounds thru them and both have bee...
