Re: Fobus OWB Holsters?
Good tip warterra on the Fobus 6922P for P-64 magazines. Just so happens I was looking for something like that but did not want to order the wrong size. Do they make a single version also?

Re: Can't get Wolff recoil spring installed
I am 99% sure that is the problem and yes just sand down both ends of the spring. Kinda funny that the tiny bit of material keeps the slide from fitting. Also squeeze the trigger bar (21) and slide stop lever (22) together that has caused some assembly frustrations. P64 Parts List http://www.p64reso...

This is what needs to be done for a proper fit just like the original.

Re: Malfunction after accidental discharge
Wow you seriously got lucky! Do you have any photos of the brass or pistol and what brand of ammunition did you use? Also could the slide lock lever be causing the assembly problems?
I also found this about the trigger pin. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3770

My Fobus SG3 was tight fitting also but some CLP on a old rag did the trick and now is easy to use.

Re: Fobus OWB Holsters?
Going on doc83's suggestion I ordered the Fobus SG-3 paddle holster and it works great. Here are some photos with the P-64 holstered. The only difference in size is the P-64's barrel is ~13mm shorter than the holster this can be seen in the photos. SDC15171 (600 x 450).jpg SDC15172 (600 x 450).jpg S...

Re: Picked up a P64 today at a gun show
I have both the aftermarket springs and the original factory and they look about the same. The only real difference is the compression weight and the original has the ends flattened. As for the safety it should not have any middle options only safe and fire. I have the same light clicks and I believ...

Re: Picked up a P64 today at a gun show
Looks like you got a good deal on your P-64 and I think the spring in question is a hammer spring. I would really clean and do a once over to make sure everything is there and in good working order. Here is a good guide and parts diagram.

Re: Aim Surplus
Like many others I have made several purchases through them before and have had no issues. I found some deals on 7.62x54R ammo on stripper clips and also my P-64 through Aim Surplus. I have had very good service over the phone with custom orders and working out FFL transfers. I would have no problem...

Re: 9x18 case length limits
Well that gave me a good idea for a afternoon of invention. I used the netting from a bag of oranges and a old bent coat hanger with a bit of floral wire and hey presto, a brass catcher. I bet this can pass as a pantyhose substitute. I also assume you can solder a small nut to the hanger to easily a...

Re: What do you use to clean and lube you pistols with?
I have been using Hoppe's#9 to clean my firearms and use Rem oil sprayed on a old shirt square to wipe down any metal parts. I have also used CLP but I find the smell unpleasing. As for the main spring and rails I have a small syringe of bearing grease filled from a 5 pound tub. If I have been shoot...

Potential ATF shotgun ruling.
Well I guess the gun grabbers are at it again. Apparently the ATF would like to increased shotgun regulation rather like the previous 1994 assault weapons ban. Now until May 1, 2011 which is the deadline you can voice your opinions and concerns about this matter to keep the current firearms market o...

Re: Another question RE the CZ 82
As a disclaimer I have no experience with Glocks or the CZ 82. In my opinion I would go with the Glock 23 for CCW. My reasoning behind this is parts and accessories for Glocks are like iPod accessories, cheap and everywhere. The overall weight of both pistols when loaded is close to being even. As t...

Re: I got shot by my P64 yesterday...
Wow, After viewing the photos I was thinking would it be better to have a FMJ chambered instead of a HP if a similar event occurred? I normally load my magazines with a mix of JHP and FMJ. Hope everything heals quick.

Thanks, I've practically been driven mad searching for days for that answer. It really shows what a knowledgeable bunch can do within a short time. Now the real search begins.
