Re: Something followed me home tonight

I mounted my 2-7X33mm Redfield Revolution scope with a Kwiksite side mount on my Model 94. I was expecting it to be awkward being as it is offset to the left. Nothing could be further from the truth! It is friggin awesome! You line up on the scope the same as if it were directly above the bore. It i...

Re: Something followed me home tonight

Thanks guys! I have wanted a Model 94 for a while. I wanted a post '64 in decent shape and this one came along. It looks like it has not been shot that much. I plan on putting a Kwiksite side mount on it with a 2.5-7 X 33mm Redfield Revolution scope as I can't use peep or tang sights. My eyes aren't...

Something followed me home tonight

I picked up this 1976 Winchester Model 94 30-30 off of Gunbroker for $265 shipped. It is in nice shape. The receiver looks excellent. A lot of these later Model 94's loose their finish on the receiver. Not so with this one. The wood has a few dings here and there, but no big deal. My first Wincheste...

Re: Rohm model 66

I picked up a EAA Bounty Hunter 22LR/22Mag a while back. It too is made in Germany. It has a transfer bar and a 8 shot cylinder. It is a nice gun! I have a lot of fun with it. Very well made and it shoots great with either cylinder. Robert http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff186/smbob/EaaBountyHunt...

Re: My collection grows...

You'll be amazed by the M57. Low recoil flame throwing Zombie slayer. +1 I love that 7.62X25 Tokerov round and the pistols chambered in it! I have a Romanian Tokerev and a CZ 52. The CZ 52 is my hands down favorite. When you fire that bad mama jamma off at the range it draws a crowd in a hurry. :) ...

Re: Latest Acquisition

Thanks Papa! I like 308 as well. I've always wanted one of these BLR's I'd love to find one in
243 for a decent price someday.

Latest Acquisition

I recently picked up this nice Browning BLR 81 in 308. It's been hunted with, but over all it's in good shape. The bore is mint. I mounted a Weaver 3-9X40mm 40/44 series scope on it. It is a perfect match. This rifle is sweet! It balances and points like a dream! I can't wait to try it out. Robert h...

Re: Best source for 9x18 Bullets

Missouri Bullet is my goto company for cast bullets. They are fast, reasonably priced, and good people. I have made several orders with them and if they had the bullets ready, I had them in a few days. If they had to make them, I got them in less than two weeks. It's refreshing doing business with ...

Re: the truth about trimming 9mm luger to 9x18 mak?

Sorry, but I disagree with that guy too. It takes a little work to to get the cases down to 18mm, but it is way cheaper than going with Starline 9X18, which by the way isn't always available. I have had great results using trimmed down 9X19 Luger brass in all of my 9X18's and will continue to do so....

Re: Lead bullets in polygonal barrels?

I have had really good results lately with Missouri Bullets 93gr RNL bullets in my CZ82 with 3gr of Titegroup. I'm going to drop it down to 2.5gr and see how it does. Silver Bear 95gr HP & FMJ as well as higher power reloads with 231, Unique, Bullseye, and others sprayed lead all over the place ...

Re: SOG vs J&G P-64s

Every weapon I have bought from SOG I have been happy with. Most every one I have bought from J&G I have been happy with. When you get some of these surplus weapons, no matter who you get them from you are rolling the dice a little bit. I think both J&G & SOG have great customer service,...

New white outline Fusion sights for my Rock Island MS

I just finished installing a set of Fusion white outline sights on my MS. They took a while to get here, but thanks to Bob Serva at Fusion it all worked out. Excellent customer service! I will buy from them again! I installed them myself. Not that tough to do. Just takes a little patience. For some ...
