Re: Two styles of P-64 Magazines
If my long feed lip mag (that doesn't function in my 1967) is "aftermarket" and not military issue, then why does it have serial numbers inscribed on it like my other mag? The short lip mag matches my gun and works, the long lip mags numbers are different and doesn't work. The thing that p...

Re: My Wierd Video Review of the P64
Thanks guys. The first 2 gun reviews I did were in what you would call the "standard style" and I find them to be apocalyptically boring. Aside from the boringness, a lot of reviews often omit important information because the speaker forgot to mention it because he was so busy droning on ...

My Wierd Video Review of the P64
Most people seem to like these special interviews I do to talk about guns and stuff.

Re: First time shooting my new P64
Extremely sorry to hear about your misfortune. Such an event can be very difficult to get past. I'll pray for your family.
On another note, I was super stressed out once and a trip to the range seemed to iron a lot of it out. weird.

Re: P-64 vs cz82 recoil
I took my CZ82 and my P64 together to the range recently and it kinda went like this: Two 12-round mags from CZ82 = that was fun, I'll take a bit of a rest. One 6-round mag from P64 = that was less fun, and I'll take a bit of a rest. The CZ82 has a bit of a kick too it, but not much. the P64 has a l...

Re: Feed lips on mag are too long, won't work
Thanks, I kinda figured it would be something like that. That's better than it being a mag from a different gun at least.

Feed lips on mag are too long, won't work
Now here is a bizarre thing I've never seen before. I went to fire my P64 for the first time and I couldn't get one of my mags to work. The slide would fall, push the front end of the bullet into the breech and then get stuck. I then couldn't get the mag out because the back end of the case was stil...

Re: Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?
OK, got it home today and cleaned. It's in really nice shape with almost no wear but a few scratches near the muzzle. the interior parts are extremely clean and crisp looking. the safety, hammer and the trigger whatsits bar on the inside are all plumb colored. However, even after cleaning, just like...

Re: Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?
You should stick to 94 gr bullets, which are readily available and what the pistol was designed to fire. I thought I had read somewhere else on this forum that the old school Mak ammo was closer to 70-80 grains and that a heavier recoil spring was strongly recommended to reduce wear on the gun. And...

Re: Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?
Well, I don't meant to hurt anyones feelings, but I AM changing the springs. I think it's a good idea to change the recoil spring for the heavier/hotter modern ammo. And I have pulled the DA trigger on a few P64's before and it is quite insane. The only thing I can imagine hitting after that DA pull...

OOOHHHH!!! duh. The misfires I had considered, but I forgot the other end of the spring is attached to the mag release. Thank you for setting me straight on that.

Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?
sorry, don't have pics of it yet. my local cabelas is just over the state line, so it will be a few days for it to make it to the shop here in town so i can take it home. I'll post some pics as soon as i can. I seem to have read that a 20# recoil spring and 18# hammer or main spring is the standard ...

Re: The P-64 is now C&R eligible!
The gun is coming from out of state. without at C&R, he buys the gun from SOG and then sells it to me, hence the sales tax, ~$20.

Re: The P-64 is now C&R eligible!
you guys didn't read my thing, because i didn't say the transfer was $65. i said the transfer, shipping and credit card (and other filing) fees was $65. the transfer fee itself is only $25. but for the gun shop to buy the gun for me and then transfer it to me, he has every right to make the ~$5 of p...
