Re: How do you feel about carrying safety off and hammer do
Thanks guys, I have noticed that the hammer will rise a small amount when the safety is engaged, and that made me think that the hammer was riding on the firing pin when the safety was off. It looks like the safety holds the hammer back from contacting the FP. , Thats why I asked this question. Than...

How do you feel about carrying safety off and hammer down?
I carry my P-64 alot for ccw. I am wondering what the opinion is on carrying with the hammer down and safety off with one in the chamber? With such a long trigger pull, I don't worry about an A.D. , But I do notice the hammer does lay on the firing pin(or so it seems) when the safety is off. I am wo...

Great pics Papa Bear! And thanks for posting the link Dfunk. I would have, But I wasn't sure if the house would allow it or not. Robert Mika is a fine person and great pocket holster maker. You can call his number and he doesn't mind talking to you .

Re: Got the new Russian red Zee grips!
Robert Micha has a website and makes a nice pocket holster at a reasonable price. I have had one for a J-Frame for 5 years and it just gets better and better. He uses a tacky cloth outer layer that holds it in your pocket when you draw the pistol. He also gives you the option of a rounded or squared...

Re: Got the new Russian red Zee grips!
Cool! I see you also used a washer under the screw. I think that makes for a stronger mount. I asked Zee if he could maybe put a star in the handle, and he said I wasn't the first person to ask that of him! He said he couldn't do it right now. I'm really liking the red color. I need a good pocket ho...

Got the new Russian red Zee grips!
I requested Zee to make me a set of Russian red grips for my p-64. Just put them on the other day and they fit perfect. I lightly deburred a couple of spots to make them a little smoother on the hand. They feel great now.

Re: Will PPK grips fit a P64?
Thanks for the pics and the comments folks! I just recently saw the bicycle intertube trick on a friend's Keltec. I had to ask myself why I didn't think of that years ago! I've had a Hogue sleeve grip on a Ruger MkII for 20 years and still never thought of the intertube trick. I can't wait to see my...

Re: Will PPK grips fit a P64?
I ordered the Zee grips. I'm getting a dark russian red, sort of like the bakelite ak stocks. I asked about a star in the side, But no can do . I can't wait to see these. I hope they help the recoil just a tad bit!

Will PPK grips fit a P64?
I've seen mentioned before that the P-64 was pretty much a PPK clone, so, Will PPK grips work on a P64? I saw some Hogues wood grips that I like, and was just curious. Thanks!

Re: Thanks to this board, I was able to install my new sprin
Yes, I saw the plastic bag trick listed and thought it would be a great idea. It's just that I have big fat fingers and I needed another set of hands! All in all, I only dropped that little plunger three or four times! I had three flashlights setting by my side! I had to hold one in my teeth while I...

Thanks to this board, I was able to install my new springs!
I received my new wolf hammer spring and recoil spring with firing pin spring today. I ordered the 18 lb hammer spring with a 22 lb. recoil spring. The tutorial posted on changing out the hammer spring was fairly easy to follow and the recoil spring was a no brain-er. The firing pin spring was a bit...

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
Hello, I'm new to this board, But I have been around on other boards for years under the same username. I am in Upstate SC USA and just recently acquired a P-64. I have been reading up on this little powerhouse and have started to bond with it on a level that I don't experience with allot of other h...
