As I understood from my CC class here in TX, the "guns prohibited" sign has to be worded specifically, citing the law or it doesn't hold water.
I don't know if it's true, but they were pretty emphatic that it had to be written word for word from that law.

Re: #$%&^*!@# these things are hard to work on!
Good times, good times. I remember crawling around on all fours for hours looking for that spring before I wife found it laying in the sink. Luckily it didn't go down the drain. What a PITA. I had a small container of some Ed's Red solvent I mixed up and was cleaning some of the parts. I was ...

Re: Almost done building my AR
Very nice AR!
I have a Superior Arms complete build and it has never FTE, FTF with about 300 rounds so far.
I added a gas piston kit to it and the BCG and upper receiver runs much cooler and cleaner.

Re: AK-74 and 5.45x39
Arik has summed it up pretty darn well. I have 2 Century AK's (47's not the 74's) and was very fortunate that they were put together correctly. I love those things and have a fondess for Comblock weapons, thanks to the AK. I also have a Century HK93 clone (C93) that was a disaster out of the box. Th...

That was me cussing earlier today. I changed out the firing pin spring and it was a chore! Of course, disassembly was a breeze, it was holding that danged detent/spring for the safety while you manipulate the safety lever. You need a third hand to pry the safety assembly straight when it starts to c...

What size are the stock springs?
I swapped out the recoil and hammer springs (both now 20 lbs) but was curious to know what the stock poundage is for the original ones.
Also, Wolff sent me another spring with the recoil spring but I can't tell what it's for. It's wimpier than the hammer spring.
Thanks,

Re: Spring upgrade question
I swapped out my springs, both hammer and recoil just yesterday. I haven't shot it yet but the double action is much improved. I went with 20# springs for each.

Re: My P64 Bit Me!!!!
The slide didn't get me but I was changing out my springs and the trigger guard slipped from the "out" position and nipped my middle finger on the fingerpad area pretty bad!

Well, I did get the black set of these from buckshot..... http://www.p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3293&start=0 Which should be here this week. I think I'll eventually take some handgun training course. I'm more of rifle guy (can I say that here? :-) ) but I really like this litt...
