Re: Picked up a new RIA M1911 A1 tody
Got the guide rod today. I decided not to use the buffer. The only problem I ran into was I could not get the barrel bushuing on with with the slide on the frame. I had to put in on with the slide off then put the slide on the frame. I think I may need to file it a tad. Other than that it looks great.

Re: Picked up a new RIA M1911 A1 tody
Trying to figure out if I should bob the GI hammer, or order a combat hammer. All the stuff for the mods should be here by the weeks end, with the exception of the grips coming from Dennis.

Got it to the range. Very accurate. I ordered a full length guide rod, shok-buffs, and a beavertail from Wilson Combat. I will post up some pics once I get it all together.

It is a parkerized finish.lklawson wrote:Groovy.
What's the finish? It looks mat so I immediately think parked but it also looks very black so maybe something else?

Picked up a new RIA M1911 A1 tody
I picked up a new Rock Island M1911 A1 today. Been looking to get a 1911 for some time now. Have heard a lot of good things from a few people about RIA, so I figured I would give it a shot. I will fallow up after a range trip.

Re: Concealed Carry Comparison
I also have a P11 and I have posted in here a few times I find it dependable. The PF9's on the other hand I do not. To challenge those commonly found (on KelTec forums) statements is silly and absolutely indefensible. Again....I challenge anybody to spend 5 minutes on a KelTec forum and say my stat...

Re: Concealed Carry Comparison
I assume you are saying KelTecs are reliable/dependable right out of the box and all this was made up? I have a Kel-Tec P-11 and has been flawless since day 1 "right out of the box". I have ran over 3,000+ rounds through it in the past 3 years. You name an ammo and odds are its been ran t...

Re: What type/brand of ammo do you like to feed to your pist
I haven't had my pistol for very long, and so far I've only shot a couple boxes of Blazer 95 grain TMJ through it. So far I've had zero issues with it. No feed problems, no ejection problems (unless you count picking up cases ten yards away), and it's more accurate than I am. I do have one issue wi...

It's probably just an after market replacement.
