Yes, I was very happy to help him out and told him I'd sell it back to him anytime for the same price.
He told me that wouldn't happen and he was glad to see it go to a good home.

I was talking with someone at work today who is recently divorced and in need of a bit of cash. He said he had an old rifle he would sell me for what he owed on his overdue phone bill. He wasn't sure what it was but that it was a lever action. Went over to his house after work and saw this... http:/...

Ever looked at a Taurus PT22? A little smaller but in the hand/trigger area they are pretty close. I have read good and bad things about them but never had any trouble with mine. Pretty easy to come by at around $200. However, I'd buy a Bersa Firestorm 22 in a second if I could find one. http://i10....

New M38
Thanks for the kind words.
I did get a chance to take it to the range. Shoots as expected but I didn't really have time to get it signeted in properly. Maybe this weekend I can get a little more bench time in and take some video.

New M38
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a107/dschrier/Gun%20Stuff/IMG_5992.jpg Finally found a pretty nice M38 with correct stock and all matching numbers. I didn't want to screw it up by sanding and doing a total refinish so I just steel wooled the old shellac and put on some new Bullseye amber. It's co...

Don't worry. In a month or two a large callous will form on the web of your hand. It will kinda look like the bottom of your foot.
Won't hurt anymore.

It was very, very oily. Like it had been submerged in 30W motor oil. Took slide and grips off and wiped it dry inside and out. Ran patches through the bore. Seemed to clean up well enough. I'll give a more thorough cleaning soon. Won't be able to shoot it for a few more days though. I took the chea...
