Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
In 1963 the United States trained me to be a very lethal and professional killer of human beings for them in South East Asia. I was very good at it and the proof of that is the fact that I am still here. Bullets can kill no matter what size. In fact, smaller bullets kill faster. I then spent 25 year...

Re: Ejection after 22lb Spring!!??
In my testing, I have found the 20/20 combo to be the best suited for the P 64 pistol with today's ammunition and keeping the single action trigger pull under reasonable control. A 20 lb Recoil Spring with a firing pin spring upgrade and a 20 lb Hammer Spring. There has also been a great deal of spe...

Anytime my friend. The best place is the Mil Surplus web sites unless one of the members want to give up some. We have a Buy, Sell and Trade section but you have to make a certain number of posts to get into it. I seem to remember at least 10 posts were required for me.

Re: Ejection after 22lb Spring!!??
You also have got to be very concerned about timing also. That is why Wolff sends that extra power firing pin spring as well. This is so you don't shear of the tip of the firing pin with a increased force. The heavy firing pin spring pulls the pin back quicker for the faster action that is slinging ...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
It is nothing like the real thing. You can read all the documentation you can find but it won't tell the real story. The yelling and screaming. There is blood everywhere. The vomiting and discharge of body fluids and contents. Do you think the bad guy just falls over queitly after you shoot him? Unt...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
"The next American Civil War has begun." - Really? And who's fighting who? And how do you know who in your neighborhood is your friend or foe? And if somebody really thinks that this is a reason to start a civil war than USA is definitely a home to some stupid, crazy and very scared peopl...

No body can tell that for sure. Hollow Points at about 10 feet will most likely go through as quick as FMJ if bone is not hit.

Re: Sacramento dude needs some clips. Help! :- )
Clips go in rifles and magazines go in the P 64. Accessories for the P 64 are very difficult to come by. The only way I know to get Magazines is on line in the Mil Surplus sites. Good Luck and Welcome....

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
I think there does need to be concern for anyone in the area. The JHP seems like the better choice most of the time. I learned the key words in court are, I feared for my life and I shot to stop them. Definition of Court.....a place where a bunch of people will take weeks, if not months, to try and...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
Now for another dose of reality. Is the Bad Guy going to be concerned about over penitration? Is the Bad Guy going to be concerned about colateral damage? We have won several wars with round nose bullets and are not doing to badly in the present one with round nose FMJ bullets. We have had police sh...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
If you ever sat down and actually calulated the possibility of colateral hits it is nothing to even be concern about. All the energy that is lost on the first object hit also has to be considered. I shoot for the hips with my first two shots then up to the chest cavity for the next two. Breaking hi...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
You feel horrible when you have to kill another human being, no matter what the reason. The United States Military are professional killers. That is their function to kill with force. There is no getting away from that. When you draw your weapon you will become a KILLER or be KILLED . That's the sim...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj
I personally like over penitration. One hole in the front and one in the back. I also know how to get contol of the enemies hearts and minds. Two shots to the chest then one to the head. Worked every time for me when I tried it. I see no problem doing all that with JHP in your gun. :D That's all I ...
