Who Has Used Their P-64 to Stop Would-be Attackers
I had an encounter in my store with an angry customer who was acting erratic and threatened me with a beating. I carry crossdraw and turned my back to him, but kept him in the corner of my eye. While I gripped my P64 and prepared to draw, he left of his own accord, and thankfully never had to find o...

gun show report
Went to the large Medina Ohio gun show today, P64's ranged from $159 to $200. Not one Polish holster. Plenty of ammo--Silver Bear 115 jhp was $7.95/box, Fiocchi fmj was $ 6.95, and Brown Bear fmj was $6.95. I havn't seen any surplus S&B ball that others have written about, only the S&B comme...

Were you holding it with your finger around the front of the trigger guard?

How do you conceal your P-64?
I use an Inside the waist clip-on holster that I wet-molded to the P64. I usually carry crossdraw.

JHP Ammo & Glasers
The Hornady is good ammo, but could be a little hotter, and a little cheaper. I hate buying ammo in quantities less than 50 rounds. I have no problem carrying fmj for self defence, and often use either S&B or Fiocchi. As the rest of you guys should know by now, I also like Silver Bear 115gn jhps...

Bakelite grips? If they are really bakelite, I would be interested. I know the difference between bakelite and plastic, and every P64 grip I have seen is plastic.

How are you carrying the P-64?
I occaisionaly carry in a retail store situation, when I do, it is loaded with safety off. As erehwesel said, that heavy double action pull, which is usable if you are used to it, might give a gun grabber problems.

Trigger Bar popped out - HELP please!
I feel your pain! It is really a matter of getting the trigger return spring in the right position, and I don't think I can describe that...when I did it, I know I spent about 45 minutes tinkering with it, using probes, hemostats, and small screwdrivers. Just go slow and remember-what come apart goe...

EBAY P64 holster...
Same here! Class of 1974! I think it is cool that when I was walking across the stage getting my diploma, This pistol was behind the Iron Curtain, virtually unheard of.
I have just post pics on cetmerifles.com, if you would like to see it.

The only place I really notice recoil bite is the finger extension on the mag whacking my little finger. After a box of ammo, it gets painful!

EBAY P64 holster...
Yeah, I did...strange, as the mags I bought from SOG both had (different) numbers. I suppose that if I were unscrupulous, I could etch my pistols numbers on and have a "matching" set. The only thing that would make this holster better would be if the year matched the pistol, but 72 is clos...

EBAY P64 holster...
I recieved mine today, and what a beauty! The cleaning rod is unique in doubling as a take down tool--it is identical to one I saw pictured with a Vanad pistol on Makarov.com. The holster is stamped 1972, and also has the Radom 11 in oval stamp. I am pretty certain that this holster is indeed the co...

Did I almost blow my gun up?
Well, you guys can do what you like, and of course your firearms may vary, but I have had no problems shooting the 115's in my P64, or cz82, or even the german Mak I used to own. While I have no problem relying upon the standard ball 95gn load for self defence, I would (and do) load my Mak-chambered...
