Took my jgsales p64 out for the first time, 50 perfect rounds through it... what a great little pistol, but wow stiff recoil on this baby! I'm very happy with it... Seems built like a freakin tank...

Was worried about ammo...
I got my first 9x18 pistol, my P64 in... And was worried about finding ammo locally... Well, went in Academy Sports and they had stacks of Monarch (Barnaul) 9x18 for $9.99 per 50... I feel much better now! Hopefully, they will continue to stock it... They had tons of Monarch in the typical stuff inc...

Is this normal? hmm...
Great, thanks for your reply... I tested with a pencil and the pencil launched out of the barrel at a surprising high velocity... So looks like the hammer IS striking the firing pin... Also, the hammer does drop when the safety is applied, what I meant is that when UNCOCKED and you toggle the safety...

After looking at it closer, maybe the hammer just doesn't rest on the firing pin... Look like when the trigger is pulled the hammer may fall all the way forward and then reset slightly off firing pin? Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
Thanks for any help... ???

Just got my P64... Noticed that it appears that the hammer is not striking the firing pin... Is this gap normal, with the safey off and no round chambered? I noticed that when I put it on safety the hammer doesn't appear to move... Should this go back to J&G? http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...

Well, picked up my "new" J&G P64... Here she is...
She does have some light wear but,
hey it's a surplus pistol... Hopefully, it will fire and work ok...
I'm really impressed with it for $159.00 pistol...

New Member... New Pistol...
Well, after weeks of research, went ahead and just ordered my P64 from J&G... I've wanted a 9x18 pistol to go with my AK's for awhile now... Hopefully, I'll get a good pistol and won't have any problems, ie. firing pin, etc... This looks like a great site with some great people!! Hope to post so...
