steel case vice brass case
Mine will do it occassionally with brass too. It has gotten better the more rounds I put through it. How did you deburr that. With fine sand paper or emory cloth? Let me know and I will try that with mine. I used a dremel with a small sanding wheel. I put a pretty good bevel on it. I probably took ...

steel case vice brass case
I experienced the same thing (see thread "Failure to go into battery") and solved my problem by de-burring the breech face cartridge-pushing-ears, for lack of a better term. I noticed the problem with brass ammo, though. I have the stock recoil spring and a polished feed ramp. I am startin...

Hello Everyone - Looking to pick up a P64
I have shot the Hornady XTP, Barnaul, Silverbear, Brownbear and CorBon through mine with no feeding problems. Maybe a short break-in period is required to wear in the feed ramp, barrel ramp and breech face. If you chamber a round, and slowly ease the slide into battery, does yours hang up? If so, h...

What about modifying a makarov mag with a slip-on base pad? Especially for a spare mag, 8 rounds would be cool.

P64 VS Kel-tec P3AT??
I plan to do a shoot-off between the LCP (like a 3AT) and the P-64. I suspect the P-64 will outperform the Ruger all around, especially at 25 yards and longer. I am pretty happy with my P-64, carried IWB with clipdraw. It might be nice to have the option of pocket carry (needs to be lighter), but yo...

Hello Everyone - Looking to pick up a P64
But a question about that: Will using brass be a problem? Sounds like you had one - is that typical in P64s? See my thread in this forum RE: Battery. Brass will work, but I am beginning to think the P-64 (and PPK) has some unique considerations concerning feeding brass, due to the breechface design...

Bear in mind that it was engineered for steel case ammo. Mine acted up with Cor-Bon.

Failure to go fully into battery
Thought I would share a problem I corrected. My P64 has run pretty well, with an occasional failure to go fully into battery, which I had previously attributed to limpwristing. But it yesterday it happened with me using a firm grip. I bumped the rear of the slide with my palm to no avail. I pried th...
