Re: Experience with these Holsters

I have worn the Suncraft holster for years. Stays close to the body (after break-in). I wear it at 5 o'clock and have never had an issue. For IWB carry, I use Grandfather Oak kydex. Great clamshell retention holster. I own several for different pistols.

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in

A safety in the ON position is a "safety". In the OFF position it's a "shoot myself in the leg" lever. Just sayin'.

Re: Graphite lube

Frog Lube - all natural. Developed by Navy Seals. If it works for them, it'll work for you.

Re: Rust on my slide?

Bought a RIA 1911 from a Sailor on terminal leave. He threw in 3 S/S mags and 400 rounds of ammo plus some Frog Lube. I tried it on my carry P64 (which I keep immaculate) I was amazed at the stuff it took off the internals. I also ran a patch down the barrel and same thing - more carbon. Frog Lube i...

Re: Need a new decoker/safety

No one has a right to complain about a military golf course unless you played the course in GITMO. It was like playing on the surface of the moon AND you had to bring your own grass for the fairway shots. If you didn't have your own grass you could buy an Astroturf door mat at the pro shop.

"R2" - "Bubble Chaser"????

You Air Force guys - nothin' but a bunch of Twidgets and Feather Merchants. But I will admit you have nice golf courses.

Re: safety will not disengage

I've bought parts from the guy in Poland on Gun Broker. Safties and firing pins. I did not wait weeks. As soon as he had my payment he mailed it. He is a great guy to deal with. I love these little guns and rather than spend $150-$200 on a gun to use as a parts "spare" I spent $80 on parts...

PARTS GUN RANGE REPORT

Took the gun to the range. Crisp recoil, tight feel overall. Very pleased with the outcome. Sorry that P64 owner in Wisconsin had a problem and decided to sell rather than fix it.

JUST FIXED A "PARTS" GUN

I just bought a 1973 off of Gun Broker that was listed as a parts gun. It had a broken safety. I purchased a couple of safties and firing pins months ago when they were available and slapped one in when I got back from the FFL. Cycles fine - I'll take it to the range later this week and try it out. ...

Re: P-64 as a firearm for SHTF/WROL/TEOTWAWKI/zombie apocaly

Brains are available in many supermarkets and most specialty meat markets. Purchase brains that are a bright pinkish-white color, plump and firm. They are very perishable and should be used the day of purchase. Brains must be well washed, then BLANCHED in ACIDULATED WATER. They can then be poached, ...

Gosh Junius I forgot - most Air Force guys carry golf clubs - so would you use a driver or an iron on that zombie?

Re: P-64 as a firearm for SHTF/WROL/TEOTWAWKI/zombie apocaly

When it comes to Zombie Time, I guess my approach is a little more direct (35 years of military training). First - if you own a lot of 9x18 shootin' stuff, stock ammo. I get 1000 rounds of Brown Bear for $200 delivered to my door (Gun Deals.com). So - once a quarter I buy a 1000 rounds. Second - Own...
