Re: **Handmade IWB Holsters**
I have one of Dick Funk's original holsters for the P-64. I still carry it almost daily. I had been alternating a PA63 and the P-64 in that holster and recently discovered it fits a llama 32 nicely. I bet Dick didn't intend to build a universal holster, but it has served me well. Later Don

Hey Norm, I was reading this article about duarcoat and ceramic header paint. I'm still confused about how far I need to take the gun down. I have an old sestima that is a great 1911, but looks bad. I have access to a bead blaster. How far do I need to take the 1911 down for bead blasting. You may n...

I still have failures. Yesterday, I weighed several finished bullets to see if I had put powder in them. I had. My biggest fear is to omit the powder or not put in enough, thereby having the primer send the bullet down the barrel about 2 inches. If this happens to me, I would know to check the weapo...

Today, I ran a bunch of errands to get ready for next weeks camping trip. I came back from Wal-Mart and started getting the camper ready. I didn't intend to wash it, but before I knew it I was in the zone. Two hrs. went by before I realized that I had worn my Dickfunk holster the whole time. It was ...

Any of you guys want a new mold at a good price you might want to jump in. By the way I use an All American and a Tru-line jr. by Lyman and a Lee to deprime. http://castbooli...

big54r, I also have a "belly with handles", and have no problem with printing. Usually wear a light coat or sport coat, but I have been shopping with the holster only covered by a sweat shirt. It seems to have a very snug fit, and I don't foresee me doing anything active enough to shake it...

olympus, It sounds like you are describing dickfunk's holster. Well made, comfortable, (while driving) concealbale. I wore mine the other day for 10 hrs. Drove 150 miles, went to funeral, got a funny look from a lady that hugged me. Great holster. Later Don

Gunneyrabbit, I use solder to mix with pure lead. It doesn't take much. A guy on another forum said that he was a brass whore before he became lead whore. Normsutton, Do you use gas checks with 7.62X39 and 54R? I have not cast these bullets but that is my next step. I don't have a sizer. Just been u...

Great job. I have done some holster work and like Barnett3006, I have awled myself. By my calculations, you have made all 3 of those holsters since September 18. I have 2 holsters on order from Brigade since May. My finger (the one with the awl hole) is poised over the Paypal button, so when you dec...

bartoszsitarski, You made the right decision. I would never advocate not buying a gun except in extreme circumstances, like a pending marriage. I've been married for 38 years and I have purchased a lot of guns and you will too if you keep that futuristic attitude. Later Don
