Yep, just took her to the range today. Shot to the left slightly (my fault, not the gun's) shot 7's, 8's and 9's. Not bad for first time out. The finish is crappy, that is for sure. I am debating if I should paint and bake (cheapest), spend the money to refinish the bluing, or just leave it alone. T...

Passing by the local gun shop/shooting range to pick up ammo for tomorrow's shooting, and decided I needed another Eastern bloc pistol. This is my latest, a CZ82.

Wow people really jack up the prices...
The problem with used guns taken in trade by a gun shop or pawned, is we don't know what the loan/trade/pawn amount was. Example: Went into my local gun shop that normally has new product considerably below MSRP. Saw three CZ-82s in case for $349.95 each. Told the guy that they were available from J...

CHESTNUT RIDGE SUPPLY?
Looks like a good price and very tempting. However, my son is PO'ed at me for buying too many guns now and I just found out last week that my part time job is gone as of Friday. So, until I can find a way to supplement my social security again, I am not gun buying and pretty much not shooting (canno...

No P64!
Like everyone else, I have had issues with the bite of the P64. Luckily I have fairly small hands, so I solved 95% of the problem by adjusting my hold a little lower on the hand grips. I usually fire 100 rounds maximum when I go to the range. Since many of the posters here use the P64 as a carry pie...

Which 9X18 ammo??
I have used Bear ammo and also Federal makes a 9x18 in 95g. The Bear is cheaper if ordered online. My local gunshop charges 24.99 for a box of 50 and I have actually seen it as high as 40/box at one other gunshop.

list your guns
I understand that he is just enthusiastic about his collection and is making conversation. And I have seen people on other forums list their guns, or at least some of them in their signature blocks. I also understand and respect the rights of those who don't feel confortable disclosing how many guns...

Very impressive collection. I had forgotten about the P64s and other eastern bloc collectibles for a while. If the supply is drying up, I guess I better make up my mind if I want more before its too late.

Hopefully Norm or one of the other senior members will see this and verify what I think. I don't believe that there are any parts available for this gun. I suppose a gunsmith could make one for you, but I have no idea on cost.

I may have to consider going online. I have to admit, I am just lazy and impatient sometimes. Online is cheaper, but you need to fax a copy of ID to verify age. Buying in store, more expensive but all my regular places know me, so no longer necessary to show ID. To answer the question, if you don't ...

I passed up some 9x18 ammo today because it was $30/bx of 50. I have other local sources I want to check. Last time I bought Federals they were $24.99, still high but not as bad as today.
