Tested Out My New Spare Mag...

I tried one of the "cheaper" mags that require the break-in, and it worked fine, but like the other story in this string, it became increasingly more difficult to push into the bottom of the gun. Eventually I tossed it in the trash because it was far more trouble than it was worth. I will ...

Aftermarket magazine

I purchased one of the "break-in required" magazines, and it works fine. It is a little tight going into the gun, but otherwise is OK. However, I would spend $5 more and get an original p-64 magazine because they are much smoother.

Marschalgrips - any recommendations?

Thanks for all the input, they certainly are nice grips and will add a lot to my already-favorite pistol. I shared the P-64 with several folks at the range - funny to watch as their face goes from confusion at first glance, to a serious look of consideration, and by the time they shoot the first mag...

Range report - first time with _64

I just tried my hand at reloading, I used 9mm parabellum (sp?) range pick-ups trimmed to 9X18 using the Lee 9X18Makarov trimmer gage. I was able to trim approximately 250 cases before the $4 trimmer became dull. A lot of work, but I enjoyed it. I loaded with 3.8grains of Hodgdon Universal and topped...

Favorite ammo?...

I hope Stuckman is correct - I have approximately 225 9mm range pick-up brass that I tumble cleaned, trimmed (using lee trimmer and 9X18 makarov length gage), and retumbled, along with new boxes of Hornady 95 grain XTP and Universal Clays powder. The primers are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (Y...

Marschalgrips - any recommendations?

I am new to the P-64 world, but happy to be here. I just received my 1976 P-64 from J&G last Friday, I took it to the range and it was better than I expected, loved it even with the stock springs. The next day, I embarked upon a complete disassembly, clean, reassembly venture. I am happy to say ...

Is the Recoil Really that BAD??

I am a new P-64 owner, received mine just 3 days ago from J&G. I took it out for a test, as is, without changing any of the springs. The DA, as EVERYONE states, was a bit silly - pull pull, grunt, sweat...<Bang>, but far off of target. Then I took aim again in SA mode. Wow, what a difference! Al...

WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

New to the site, new to P-64. Just got mine from J&Gsales dot com - $159 +$10 hand select to get the triangular hammer, +22 shipping, + $20 FFL Transfer = WHO GIVES A PHUC, I got me a p-64! When I first saw the pistol at my FFL I was a bit disappointed, did not appear to be as flawless as others...

Broken P-64... Help

I did exactly as what others have described, dry fired the pistol with the grips off, the trigger bar flung out of position, and the pistol would only fire (dry) if held upside down. Sure enough, the trigger spring was not in the proper position to hold constant pressure against the trigger bar, onc...
