Re: New Owner

Another warm welcome from the Upstate of South Carolina! Also known as God's Country! Congrats on the purchase! A few friendly suggestions: 1. Include the wife with your range time. My wife loves the P64, especially since it is solid steel and heavy enough to off-set the minimal recoil from the 9mm ...

Re: Ankle Holsters?

That was me, and it is an older TripleK rig that I am selling now! It fits the P-64 perfectly, and is listed on the holsters section for sale.

Let me know if you are interested!

Now asking $20 including shipping from Spartanburg, SC.

Re: 7/02/2010 delivery from SOG: pics!

Safety dot is an easy fix! Did one myself. 1. Get red fingernail polish, in the red of your choice. I have (3) daughters and a wife, so I had plenty of reds to pick from. 2. Get a toothpick. 3. Dip the toothpick in the red polish and drop it into the safety circle. A little will go a long way! It's ...

Re: New member with new P-64

Is the Sauer also chambered in 9mm Makarov? Not sure I've seen many of them.

Re: New member with new P-64

Very nice! I ordered and received my second one from SOG last week, and it was in the same condition. VIrtually, if not actually, MINT! Much better shape than the 1st one I bought, and I paid for hand pick back then! THis was luck of the draw, and it was worth every penny! My holster shows more wear...

Re: What will be the next great surplus import?

The CZ-82 and P-64 are at the top of the list for now. They are both somewhat distinctive from the majority of surplus guns in that they are both well-suited for use and have features desirable in any handgun. Unlike an "outdated" Nagant pistol, these two guns are on many people's CC rotat...

Re: Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?

"It is not at all unusual for me to fire the first SA followup shot (after the DA shot) BEFORE I intend to." Folks: this is the very DEFINITION of a hair-trigger! This kind of comment is EXACTLY what will be used against you in court to put your a$$ in jail if you are involved in a shootin...

Re: Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?

I strongly suggest taking the P-64 AS IS to the range for a few magazines before you change anything. This little beauty performed in military service with the springs just as you will get them, and many people, myself included, think the gun is perfectly acceptable just the way it is. It will take ...

7/02/2010 delivery from SOG: pics!

It's been about a year since the last time I ordered a P-64...one from J&G, then one from SOG. The J&G delivery was bounced around in a cardboard mailer, with no packing paper at all, just an invoice with the gun. The SOG order was much better packed, and came with extras, so Tuesday (3 days...

Re: Ankle Holsters?

The absolute best holster for ankle carry of virtually any weapon is the Desantis or Galco molded leather. The neoprene strap, with padding on the ankle side and a molded pocket for the gun makes ALL the difference in the world for comfortable ankle carry. Any universal pocket-style ankle holster al...

Re: Shoulder holsters?

Most of the major holster mfgs have models for the PPK that should fit the P64 just about perfectly. If you go with leather, it will stretch quite a bit in case the fit is too snug at first, and there are a few tricks to stretch out the leather a little faster. You don't want it to be too loose! Bes...

Re: New molded nylon P64 holster: pics

I should have negotiated a commission deal with this guy!

Mine is about a year old now, and is holding up just fine... I tend to wear the US Gunleather as much, but the molded nylon is starting to break in nicely and just feels right.

Glad you guys have found the same with yours!

Gander Mountain P-64 for sale

Stopped in a GM store in NC and inquired about the 149 price on the P-64... Was told no way it was sold for 149.00. The store computer shows all pricing for the p-64 to be at 249.99 retail, with occasional sales dropping it to 199.99. I asked about the one in this post selling at 149.99 and was told...

Crossbreed - Will it fit?

+1 on the suggestion for Dick Funk/US Gunleather IWB rig. It cannot be beat in price or quality. That CrossBreed looks like a holster stapled onto a pizza pan...and it goes inside your pants???? Might be more comfortable to just glue a sock onto a baking pan and shove it inside your pants...probably...
