Alessi Holsters

I was at Alessi Holsters today and brought a P64 with me to get a fitting. The P-64 fit in the Walther PPK like a glove. He had lefty handed holsters (IWB) in stock and available for immediate delivery. You can call Tom if you are interested at 716-706-0321 or you can email him: tom@alessigunholster...

Alessi Holsters

I have the good fortune of being located about 2 miles from www.alessigunholsters.com and will be stopping over to see Tom next week about making me a custom Alessi holster for my P-64. I will post pics of my rig when it is complete. Alessi Holster Company is being carried on by his former employee ...

recoil info-come on, put in your 2 cents

Both my P64's are bone-stock and I really don't think the recoil is all that harsh. I usually start my range session with a magazine from my Glock 27 so anything after that is like a walk in the park.

Range report - first time with _64

I ran enough of the hard to find Hornady through it to know it is reliable from what I can with that ammo. Is there really any big difference between silver, brown and wolf ammo? Not for self defense, just range use. You should really consider running a few boxes of your sd ammo through it. I know,...

Is it possible you were expierminting with a two-handed grip and inadvertently moved the trigger guard when the gun fired?

First trip to the range with my P-64's...

Great writeup Siafu. Could you tell a difference between the two? Lets see some pics of the rest f the herd. I have another PPS in .40 which is at my Gunsmith's place getting a little service, and a couple of other rifles that round out the collection. :D http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3575/3451840...

What is the most consistent brass cased ammo for these guns? And what is a fair price for a 50 round box? Any vendors recommended?

Grip Karma

There HERE. There HERE. I got my grips today. They are Awesome. They seem to fill my hand just a little bit better the the stock factory ones. Give the P64 such a refined feeling in your hand. Here are some pics of them my Gun. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s188/ipsd1/Hobby%20Stuff/Guns/P64/P1...

All I can say is WOW! ;D Both of them are 1971 vintage and both fed perfectly without a malfunction of any kind whatsoever. I shot Wolf (because I have 500 rounds of it) but those little pistols gobbled it up like a hungry fat kid. I noticed a few sparks flying around but everything ran at 100% from...

Recommended Cleaners/Lubricants

While I stay away from WD-40 as a lubricant, I don't have any problems using it as a water displacing agent. After my bleuing job last week I had to rinse the slide with cold water and after I was done I saturated it with WD-40 to get out any water that was hiding in there. As a lubricant it has ten...

Do you have to remove the safety mechanism & firing pin/spring, etc. for the rebluing touchup? Will the oven temp mess up the springs at all? Thanks. I removed the grips. Oven was only at 125 degrees. Metal came out warm to the touch but not hot. I did not remove any springs. I am not an expert...

frame is same. i did not do anything to frame. only the slide was refinished. 100% elbow grease. the first rule of refinishing is prepping the metal. once the metal is sufficiently prepped the rest is, as they say, "butter". ;)
