Re: Daewoo DR200
I spoted some soft nose 5.45X39 one time while doing research, then went back it was out of stock. But, haven't really checked in a while. Mostly it's russian milsup, but the prices are good.

Re: Daewoo DR200
I wonder how the 7.62x39 V-MAX round would do on deer and boar. Ever used it or know someone who has?? The soft point stuff I've used was pretty good for the little deer in Florida (they're pretty small). I do like the SKS for deer, 30-30 too, I've used both. There were a lot of years I just couldn'...

Re: Daewoo DR200
Some people do not have any choice but to hunt with shotguns during deer season, (example Illinois). I went to high school in Illinois, was very happy to leave once I graduated (five days later I joined the Navy).

Re: Daewoo DR200
There are a lot of interesting rifles out there like the Ruger ranch rifle, Saiga, VZ-58, Galil that I'm really leary of buying because of the magazine singularity/availability. The same with the P-83 when it first came on the stage, BEING ABLE TO BUY ONE SPARE MAG. I guess it's fixed now, but still...

Re: Daewoo DR200
I've heard they're good rifles, but have never even held one. Does it handle like a Galil, they look a little a like. Does it take AR magazines?? In my narrow little world it either takes AR or AK mags. Maybe it's time to boarden my horizons a little, though. Glad you got what you wanted.

Re: Whats your favorite load for the 44 sp.?
Gunny, too much, he had $350. I told him he was too high. it was in good shape, but it was still a used gun. He countered with $325. Told him Naw see ya'. I had been looking at his booth during my pass throughs (he hadn't sold much). I was going to offer him $275, and maybe go up a littlefrom there,...

Re: Mosin Nagant collecting
The place I got the idea for the cork was a place called 'The Box of Truth' in the C&R section. They have a topic on Mosin's. The reason I use cork is as a diagnostic, it's not a permanet thing. If it fixes the problem fine, then bed it with something long lasting. It might be a useful method fo...

Re: Polish Army having Problems with new WIST-94 Pistol.
The grip is what put me off on the CZ-82. It just doesn't feel right. I have to agree with GR to some degree, if it doesn't do what I want it to, why buy it. While I have my toys, I really can't afford to buy stuff unless it's what I NEED, or it trips my trigger, collecting while fun to contemplate ...

Re: Whats your favorite load for the 44 sp.?
The Georgia Arms 200 gr Speer yellow dot is pretty good. I picked up 100 rds at the gun show in Tallahassee. They were the only vendors that were reasonable. They do good work. I missed picking up a 3 inch barrel S/S Rossi in .44spl.in excellent shape by about 5 mins. Changed my mind to buy it, went...

Re: Mosin Nagant collecting
You might try to bed it with a thin sheet of cork. Cheap and less permanent, I did it with mine.

Re: Marschal grips???
Mine are just oil rubbed Walnut. Mine are starting to show a little wear, but nothing I can't live with. I still have the stock grips and Handall Jr. I opted for oil rub because I wasn't sure what the other finishes would do. A friend has had a plain unstained set of grips for his 1911, (Walnut). Wh...

Re: Yugo Tokarev now C&R eligible
When you said Yugo for some reason I was thinking it was the Hi-cap Tok. I went to SOG web site and answered my own stupid question. Oh well! Thanks, I appreciate it. Have a great day.
