I got it the stuck slide part straightened out. my technique was just a little flawed and my inexperience with pistols probably got in the way as well. any idea on the purpose of those metal tabs that are getting gouged? if i knew what they were for it might help me figure out why they are getti...

yep my slide stop spring is there. You know what I might be putting the recoil spring on the wrong way. Althought I cant see that causing those metal tabs inside the slide to get messed up. I'll check it out when i get home. thanks for the reply.

Yea JG was good about it though. I think they were kinda shocked when I was telling them of the condition it was in but they didnt hesitate to tell me to send it back for a replacement. I doubt mine came from the main lot that all yours did. It couldn't have.

Just got off the phone with JG and got my return number. They have 50-60 p-64's left in stock but are expecting another batch of about 2,000 of them shortly.

Its a P64. I tried taking pics of it last night but none turned out. I will have my girlfriend take pics of it with her good camera. I'm telling you its been shot before, a lot. The inside of the barrel is pretty dirty also. I'll post the pics up tonight. It won't be till around 10pm ET though. Sorr...

Just got off the phone with JG. I'm returning it tomorrow in exchange for a hand select. He told me it was going to be 20-30$ to handselect though (!) But anyway, they are real friendly and have EXCELLENT service. They are very understanding. My P64 honestly looks like it has 1,000 rounds through it...

this is bullsh*t. I just got my P64 today. Its in terrible condition. The gun has major wear on it. It honestly looks like it has been used daily for 5 years. I'm calling JG tomorrow for an exchange.
