How was your P-64 packaged?

Blackhawk83

Sounds real nice! My 1976 from J&G was wrapped in Ariz. newspapers in a cardboard box! It was like new condition, so I didn't care. It would be nice if they at least gave customers a copy of the owners manual. I hope you enjoy your P-64. Good Shootin'! Tommy2

J&G P-64's

Cargosti, I thought that all P-64's made after 1972 or '73 had triangular hammers. It seems strange that you have two 1976'ers with round hammers! Powder 'soot' or residual? I've never received a gun from ANY supplier that looked like it had just been fired a lot, and I've done a good bit of busines...

Who has P64's?

Deltacornbread,

I don't know, you could look in 'The Shotgun News', but I don't think you'll find a better price or a nicer condition P-64 anywhere else! Good Luck, Tommy2

J&G P-64's

Fritzhund I got one a few weeks ago, 1976, triangle hammer, I didn't know that you could request year! I did opt for hand select. Beautiful! Like new, mint condition! A few of my younger shooting buddies thought it was "real cool" that the Serial number is xx xx007 ! If it was only an olde...

P-64, For the Ladies? I don't think so!

polypet, A very wise decision indeed! Many people (and I'm sure not going to say just women!) like a small, lightweight, short barreled revolver for carry and home defence. If recoil bothers a person, use lead bullet target loads. I guess they still make them in .38 special. Since almost all cases o...

Want to weigh trigger pull? Here's how!

Opps! In my above post (Want to weigh trigger pull? Here's how!) I forgot to warn potential makers and users of my device to - MAKE SURE THAT THE PISTOL IS UNLOADED! You would have a hard time explaining a hole in the bathroom scale and maybe the floor too! I've seen some bad AD's occur in my many y...

Want to weigh trigger pull? Here's how!

When I got my beautiful P-64, I wondered, just how heavy is that double action pull? I took a scrap of ½" plywood that was about 18 inches long and happened to be 4 inches wide (these measurements are not critical). I then found a 3/8" carriage bolt 4 inches long in my junk drawer, along w...

best prices online

dusty62 I'd say that the P-64 from J&G at $159.95 is one of the biggest bargains in 'The Shotgun News' today! Just think, an all steel Walther PPK look-alike, beautifully finished, in like new condition, (at least the one I got two weeks ago is) for a little over $200 delivered! I did pay $10 fo...

P-64, For the Ladies? I don't think so!

Dear Ms. Donnerwetter58, I'm so glad that the P-64 is right for you! Maybe they grow the gals stronger out there in SW Ohio than here in "The Endless Mountains" of NE PA! (Darn, there I've gone and done it again, made any folks from around here mad at me if they read this!) :-) After more ...

P-64, For the Ladies? I don't think so!

Bob Male Chauvanist Pig? Not I! I just read yesterday about a 58 year old lady swimming the Atlantic Ocean, well over 3,500 miles! Even I might have a bit of trouble doing that! And I'll also be the first to admit that there are lots and lots of gals (all ages) at the ranges that are far far better ...

Glad to hear that your girlfriend has no trouble with the P-64! But I still believe that many women would. Have you let any other ladies try it out yet? Let's see what some other members of the Forum have to say. Good shootin', and Enjoy Life! Tommy2

P-64, For the Ladies? I don't think so!

Most of us just love this pistol, for it's looks, size and of course PRICE! Now, and I want you to be truthful, how many of your female relatives and friends can FULLY operate it? i.e. - work the magazine catch, fully load the magazine, pull the slide all the way back, pull that heavy double action ...
