Another day at the range with some new toys.......

From the middle of September to the end of June, we in Tucson, Az. have the best weather of the country. Warm 70's-80's days and cool nights. Great time to go to the range and play. Took the P-64, Kahr PM9, Colt 1903 .380, S&W 39, P-2000 .40, CZ-82 and the MK 760 9 MM Sub gun out for a little fu...

Re: CZ-82 Disassembly

I too tried glass beads and they wouldn't cut the original finish on the CZ-82. Aluminum oxide did the trick and I finished it off in H&K Black Duracoat. There was really no surprises in taking apart the CZ-82. At first I really didn't want to. I cheated the first time and taped off parts of the...

Re: CZ-82 Range Day

http://www.novaksights.com/products/sights/index.html I had the little Colt for years and one day while shooting it the front sight started to work loose. I had a gun smith restake it but he didn't do too well of a job and in less than a box of ammo, it came loose for good. Now I had a gun ...

CZ-82 Range Day

Took my little CZ-82 to the range today after I rebuilt and duracoated it again. Wasn't happy with the first rebuild. I didn't take it completely apart and I had blasting media in the workings. The little spring that controls the Automatic safety had gotten bent some how and the gun would fire doubl...

I bet you invest in a back up hard drive now huh? I just lost the RAM on an XP computer and had a new Windows 7 custom built for gaming by CyberPower PC. Took me about a day to get all the files I have ever had back on the new machine from the back Up hard drive. Plus, I usually run multiple hard dr...

Star Modelo Super 9mm Largo

I have two Destroyer Carbines in 9 Largo, fun little toys, hard to come by. Easy to reload for and accurate. Go here for more information on 9 Largo. It's a neat cartridge, been shooting it for years. I get brass from Star-line. If you can find a copy of GUNS, November 2005, I have that Destroyer th...

CZ-82 and Speer 90Gr Gold Dots

Originals blasted with aluminum oxide and dura-coated in OD Green. The gun is done in H&K Black I believe. I installed night sights I got from CZ-USA. Just tap the old ones out and reinstall the new ones. Save that front roll pin! :o

CZ-82 and Speer 90Gr Gold Dots

And Hornady 95Gr HP's with 4.1 gr of WW 231. Shot into water. The Hornadays almost always separate jacket from core. I don't think I have recovered them together, ever. The Gold Dots hold together. http://i454.photobucket.com/albums/qq263/Sapo60/100_9841.jpg http://i454.photobucket.com/albums/qq263/...
