Re: New P-64 and range report

When I saw your post, I noticed it was no longer present. I assumed that dfunk deleted it. The post was actually quite dangerous! I wish I could remember who posted it originally.

Re: New P-64 and range report

I recommend that you take a new style mag and modify it. That's what I did and it works fine.

I have a 1965 that is the old style and a 1972 that is the new style. So 1974 isn't the cutoff date.

Suggestions for new P64 owners....

It's been 3 years since I posted here. At that time, I was selling 4 of my C&R pistols. All but 1 sold: a 1965 P64. This pistol had problems: the safety would fall to "safe" while firing, the magazine would drop after the last round was fired, and the slide would not stay open after th...

Re: What Model Year Do You Own?

The 1972 is my favorite. The '76 has the spur hammer and I prefer the round one on the '72. They are all tack drivers! I haven't really messed with the two oldest.....

Re: Whats your favorite load for the 44 sp.?

In my new Blackhawk 44 spl, I had very good accuracy with a 200 grain lead RNFP from MasterCast over 3.8 grains of Clays. I use CCI large pistol primers. The load is mild, especially for the Blackhawk, but I do like the accuracy. I haven't chronigraphed it yet.

Re: Hello to All

Welcome, bigmac.

Yes, the P64 is a great little pistol and this is the best gun board. I carry my P64 often and SOG will ship my 4th one today or tomorrow.

You will like it here. Good folks, mighty good folks!

Re: New Member, New P-64--Ammo Advice

I've only been shooting 9x18 for a little over 2 years now. The first 9x18 pistol I bought was an FEG PA-63. I changed the recoil and hammer springs, ordered one box each of Wolf, Brown Bear, and Silver Bear (all in the 93-95gr range). The only one I had a problem with was the Wolf. I had several li...

Re: I you use a Hoque Jr Grip on your P64...

Dang! I just put the Hogue Jr grip on my newest P64. I use a US Gunleather holster. How do you carry yours? I have had problems with the grip screws rusting up on me, so I wanted to try the Hogue Jr.

Anyone else had this experience?

Re: Where to buy a P64.

JAGGUY, yours would be from the newest shipment, right?

fish, I think the ones you handled were not from the last shipment. SOG ran out about the 26th of July (?) got their hands on more pronto. That's my guesstimate. Were the ones you handled the triangular hammers?
