Range report - first time with _64
I would only run the Wolf ammo through a gun that is easily and cheaply fixed. Spare parts are just too hard to come by for the P-64 so I wouldn't risk tearing it up. I've shot a lot of laquer cased Brown Bear through mine and it has been great ammo. I bought 500 rounds from ATG.

Range report - first time with _64
For range use, I use whatever is the cheapest. Brown Bear is what I've found in my area to be the cheapest.

Taurus PT1911
The Taurus was the first 1911 that I purchased. It was a blued version. Other than the fact that the finish was really poor, the gun was an awesome shooter! I ended up trading it for another one in stainless. Now that I have stainless, I don't plan to ever part with it! A set of really nicely colore...

Star Modelo Super 9mm Largo
I've seen some Star pistols around and I guess I'm just not up to speed on them. Is 9mm Largo different than the regular modern 9mm?

Proper way to clean and lubricate my P-64
Scrub every part and piece that you can reasonably get to with a nylon brush dripping with a good solvent. Add a little oil to the areas of the slide and frame that are showing wear. Thoroughly coat the gun with RemOil. Put the gun back together and give it another good dose of RemOil and enjoy.

recoil info-come on, put in your 2 cents
I went with the 22 recoil spring as well. I shot it with the original and the new Wolff as well. I could tell there was a noticeable difference between the two. The original spring would make me start packing my stuff after 50 to 75 rounds. With the 22 spring, I can get about 100 to 125 rounds befor...

Some newbie questions
I'd say if you've only got 50 rounds of the 100 grainers, you should be alright. These guns are pretty tough. But take that advice with a grain of salt. I don't want it coming back that I said it would be alright to shoot. Sometimes you never know. I'm not recommending that you shoot the stuff, but ...

Wish List Thread
I took it to the range this weekend and shot about a hundred rounds of .38 ammo. This gun is more accurate than any pistol I've ever shot before. I can easily but all 6 rounds in the 10 ring and X at 10 yards off hand. Shooting from a bench is just as good out to 20 yards. I love this gun more than ...

That, my friends, is Veronica! I knew I was in love whenever I saw her. I'm planning on taking her to the range this weekend, provided I can find some ammo for her. Probably start out with some Winchester White Box because it's cheap. She sleeps beside me on the nightstand so I'll have to find some ...

Scratch one item off my wish list....the Colt Python. I never thought I'd actually own one, but I found a heck of a deal and bought it yesterday afternoon. Here are a few pictures. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa121/adambrown69/P1011092.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa121/adambrown69/...

Sounds like you had a great outing with the "Pole". The gun is definitely my favorite for carrying. It was inexpensive and it you can tell the gun is made well and sturdy. It's not a "tuperware" gun and I love that about it.
