Spring mod question
Don't be so quick to change spring.I was converted back to the original one. When I first got mine I only tried the trigger a few times an figured no way is this one gonna smooth out.I could hardly get it to break and went to th 18lbs hammer but I was never comfortable with sa.The sa is light enough ...

hammer-recoil spring
I recently went back to the original hammer spring but left the 20lb recoil spring in.Will try it this way at the range when I get a chance but do you guys think these two spring combination will effect cycling? My thinking is that the stiffer hamer spring with the 20 may affect the rear movement of...

Anyone tried this ammo before?
Not enough penetration.Looks good in gelatin but too shallow.I think Wound Ballistic Instiute(Fackler) had something about them a few years ago.Penetration is first consideration.

Anybody uses Clipdraw
I use the clip draw on certain guns.Mostly hammer styles or striker with grip safety like my xd.I would not use it on a Glock. If a hammer type not cocked as long as it is da first shot.

Michaelap,I agree with you and no offense taken. However,it is obvious some guns are worse than others in the da mode. I was not the only one that tried it.Better shooters than me had a tough time.

lagavulin,I must admit I did not give the orig hammer spring much of a try.It sounds as bad as yours was.I could not break it.I went to the 18lb right away and since then must be over 300 rounds thru it.I did give a thorough soaking and lube(more so then other guns) before ever firing it and have al...

A really strange thing happened. For the fun of it I put the orig hammer spring back in and although still somewhat stiff I can break it now. What is strange is I have not gotten any stronger and I have loosened up guns in the past by just shooting them but none have had such a dramatic difference as ...

Rottenrick offered Siafu his 19lb hammer spring and I put in dibbs for it if he did not want. But he did.Being the rotten guy Rick is he said I colud have the 20lb spring.I took him up on it.I thought I would mention this first because of his nice gesture. Now the reason I wanted the heavier spring is...
