I have the Marashal grips for p64. Sweat from carrying has ruined whatever finish Dennis uses. Stripped the finish in about 2 minutes with wife's nail polish remover. THANKS TOMMY2 for the info.
I am using outdoor poly as you suggested. Dennis used the word shellac, perhaps the wrong word.
At any rate my sweat demolished the finish which was beautiful, before I destroyed it.
So far 2 coats of poly several more to go, but it all ready looks good.

I have a pair on my P64 from Marschal. I had to grind wood away from mag ejector to be able to access it fast if necessary.
