I too mark my cut down cases. I use Britchwood Casey's Brass Black. I paint it on the head stamp and in a few seconds it turns black. Not as glittery as candy apple red nail polish but a little more durable. ( And more manly :-O ) Also, get yourself a brass catcher. They work great with the P-64. Ca...

Re: Bullet Lube and Sizer for Makarov
The group buy is over and delivered. The mold was made by Lee as a custom, took nearly 9 months. Another group buy I was in that Lee produced took over a year. Visit the forum every few weeks and see what group buys are being developed. They have repeated some with modifications. http://castboolits....

Re: Bullet Lube and Sizer for Makarov
I use a Lyman sizer and a sizing die a friend had made and gave to me that is slightly large, about .370, so it barely sizes but applies lube well. Lee says you can shoot bullets from their molds unsized, just lubed. I have two bullets for the Mak that I run through this sizer and they shoot beautif...

Re: k31swiss 9 X 18 load
Solo 1000 is a single base shotgun powder from Accurate. It is extremely clean burning. Its burning speed is between Bulleye and Red Dot. I had gotten a sample of it and some other powders from Camp Perry match. Tried them with .45 ACP, .38 and lightly loaded .357, and Solo 1000 was cleanest, most a...

For those of you that carry the P-64...
I have a friend who carried a P-64 in a paddle holster, with a round in the chamber, hammer down, safety off. One day he went to store it in the glove compartment of the car. Snagged the hammer on the edge of the compartment just snapping it a little. Blew a hole in the glove compartment and interio...
