Full mag feed problem

GREAT NEWS!!! After ALL this time, I finally got around to ordering a Dremel kit on E-bay and have been a polishing fool on everything I could think of. I polished the feed ramp of my P 64 to a mirror shine and took it to the range. 150 rounds with ZERO, NONE, NADA problems of any kind whatsoever. F...

Walmart ID Plans

Sadly, I think the media would spin it more like: "Arms-hoarding wackos attack businesspeople during visit to bicycle shop. Wal Mart sends condolences to reps' families and demands an FBI investigation into possible 'bicycle terrorists cult'... Wal Mart Spokesperson says: With the proliferation...

who are you?

Carguy- I'm not really a compulsive gambler, I just mentioned it because I grew up in a card playing family and its one of the few indoor things I like doing. I also like to cook and combine dinner with any board or card games for the evening with a group of friends. My family specializes in Pinochl...

who are you?

Fun thread!!! 46 yrs old & single guy. Techie. I work with robots for a large electronics company in South Florida. I have fantasies about being a professional poker player, but I have a habit of going broke, so consider that a form of entertainment when I (rarely) have spare money I don't need....

New member--used gun

Welcome Mozart! I'm a newbie (to this gun and forum), too. Please tell us if you've shot it and if so, what you thought of it. I really like mine and am considering it for concealed carry if I can just get the range time to make a few tweaks & be sure of reliability... Manic, where do you get sn...

Original or Not?

I pretty much HAD to modify mine (1971). In its original state, it was "unusable" by my definition in DA mode. I could BARELY pull the trigger using BOTH trigger fingers on BOTH hands, then only to very often set off a second unintentional shot immediately afterwards due to the hair trigge...

Thanks Norm. BTW, you never told me why you wouldn't shoot Wolf if it were free...?

What DO you like to shoot?

help on p-64

I followed the advice of others here and bought the Wolff spring package, installed 20 lb hammer and 22 pound recoil with good results. Occasional light strikes on Wolf ammo, but fires nicely and American ammo works fine.

Full mag feed problem

I think I had it with all 3 ammos I was using. I need to get back to the range and start to isolate it better. Hornady hollow points, Power Balls, and Wolf. Both SD ammos and the Wolf worked fine when the mag only was loaded and I racked one and started firing. It was only on the full mag (the one I...

Full mag feed problem

Thanks, Norm, I guess I'll use it as an excuse to shoot it a bit more. I figure on carrying one in the pipe, safety ON, Between safety and 20 lb trigger I feel comfy. What is MSF ammo? Why don't you like Wolf for plinking (because it's all steel?) I won't mess with other hammer springs unless it doe...

Full mag feed problem

Hi gang, I took the P 64 to the range today to try some SD ammo for carry. This is the first time that I loaded one in the pipe and then refilled the magazine back to 6 before firing (exactly as I'd carry). I quickly found out that I get feed problems on the first round out of the magazine every tim...

VERY hard DA trigger pull

Hey Norm, I cleaned out my P 64 today to take it to the range, sadly, I pulled the trigger again and popped the trigger bar off the spring again, so I pulled it apart and reset it again... I'm a slow learner sometimes. It pops off when the slide is not holding it in against the side of the grip. Any...

VERY hard DA trigger pull

I was kinda hoping you'd say that!

If I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I owe you a bottle of whatever it is you like to drink!

Tomorrow is supposed to be a pretty shooting day here. :)

VERY hard DA trigger pull

Dude, you are a freaking genius! Got it!

Now, do I change the other spring (that came with the recoil spring), or just the recoil?

Thanks TWO mil!!!!
