Holser options

I know of the perfect P-64 IWB... It is made by a an Italian company called Vega - its a simple clipper with good, thin leather and I bought mine at a show for $17. Mine was said to fit "Makarov / PPK" It is a perfect fit - seriously. http://www.vegaholster.it/scheda.aspx?lang=eng&IDPr...

Reason for CCW

I recently aquired a "Curio and Relics" license from the ATF. I have since been receiving material on our nation's firearms restrictions. Please pay attention here daysleeper guy. 1. State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms - 457 pages long - and that doesn't do it justice - these pa...

9mm mak stopping power vs 38 special?

Depends on ammo - and how you measure "stopping power." My two biggest concerns are: 1. Penetration - If you don't have it, you can't reach vital organs. 2. Diameter of cavitiy(cavities) - a secondary concern. Once those factors are established - then I think about velocity. Its not my pri...

Vega Holster, Made in Italy

At a gun show last weekend I found a wonderful IWB holster for my P-64. It is made by an Italian company called Vega, with Italian suede. The label said it was made to fit "Walther PPK / Makarov", and it fits perfect. It is basically a "summer special" and costs only $17. I belie...

Daysleeper:

I strongly disagree. Gun control laws founded with "good intention" have a usual tendency to gradually go too far, way too far. The only people whose rights are trampled are the law abiding folks in the end. It's that dang SLIPPERY SLOPE! Never fails in politics.

What does your P-64 do?

I just bought my 1973 recently at AIM a few weeks ago. With most gun purchases, excitement with my purchase is at a maximum right after I buy it, especially during the first day I own it and get to fool with it, and the first time I shoot it. Not with the P-64! This is the ONE handgun I've bought th...

Stossel is actually a real straight-shooter. He tends to be the exception to the rule, and his "investigative reporting" is really top notch. I read his book "Give Me a Break: How I Exposed Hucksters, Cheats, and Scam Artists and Became the Scourge of the Liberal Media", and he d...

Range Report

I will polish thine feedramp. However, after sitting here and playing with the slide a bit, I have found that on its way back to its forward position, it seems to sometimes catch when it is only about a quarter of a inch from its normal resting point - leaving about a quarter-inch of the barrel expo...

Range Report

Here goes my first posting: I just got back from the local public range where I shot my P-64 for the first time. I bought the P-64 in person at AIM for around $140 and it looked like it had been carried a bit (just a few little scuffs on the grip), and shot VERY LITTLE, IF AT ALL. The "hand-bi...
