Best IWB holster (better fit: PPK or SigP230?)

Check out Mika's holsters. I sent him a drawing of my P64 and he made a template for the pistol and I should have it sometime within the next two weeks.
I don't know anyone who makes one just for the P64.

My 1973 P64

I got to the range again today,I had my set of Dennis grips on her and the recoil sting wasn't as bad as factory grips, she still let you know she isn't a target gun. I shot at 20 yds and was very pleased with the accuracy. She handled everything but the Barnaul wide HP's. You definately have to be ca...

Cobra Patriot 45

I've read that the Patriot 45acp won't feed HP's.

What is the opinions of using ball ammo as a fight stopper?

Would over penatration be a problem with 230gr ball from a 3.5 inch barrel?

Can the Cobra shoot lead rounds without a problem?

Walmart ID Plans

My area Wal-mart requires a pistol permit to buy certain types of ammo.So if you have a nice 9mm carbine and no pistol permit you are SHOL.

I shot my P64's

Both guns are more than acurate enough for defensive purposes. The mag kept falling out in the 68 with the 18 lb spring after the last shot, that was the only misfeed I had. The 73 vintage worked flawlessly(you really have to pay attention and keep your finger away from the trigger after the initial ...

For those of you that carry the P-64...

I don't carry the P64 yet because I haven't been able to do some range time to see how they work.I carry my Makarov round in chamber safety off,the only change is the safety is in when i go to bed.I'll be carrying the P64 the same way.

Don Hume JIT

My P64's fit great in the Don Hume JIT holster that is made for the Makarov pistol.
Just thought everyone would like to know.

The P64's are different

I just noticed that my 68 P64 is a little bigger than my 73. I have a Don Hume JIT for my EG Makarov and both P64's fit nicely, but the 68 is a much snugger fit.I also noticed that the tip of the barrel on the 68 extends out from the slide a little and the 73 doesn't.
Anyone else find this interesting.

My 1968 P64

torpeau,
I didn't mean to imply that you were,I was just suprised that the DA was nice before the spring change and I'm very happy,I thought all these were bears on DA.
Like you my left trigger finger is much weaker than my right but I have no problem with the 1968.

My 1968 P64

torpeau, Even before I changed out the hammer spring I could tell the DA trigger was lighter, but I'm not going to argue about it.

My 1968 P64

I got it from a local dealer, the importer is TG in Knox TN,the same as my 1973. The Mak I've had for about a month, but the weather has been so crappy just can't get to the range.
