I carry my P64 6+1, safety on, spare mag in left pocket. I carry a mixed load of JHP and FMJ.

I asked Hogue to consider making grips...

Does he offer a molded rubber grip? I also read about his grips cracking...and never saw a post saying this was remedied.

Wolff firing pin spring

Your original post says you bought a 20 and 22lb spring to help manage recoil. I did the same thing but have only installed the 20lb recoil spring. I have yet to shoot my P64 with the 22lb spring.

Have you tried both in your P-64 and if so, which did you prefer?

No...it shouldnt stay cocked. The safety acts as a decocker.

I asked Hogue to consider making grips...

I recently emailed a suggestion to Hogue to consider making grips for the P64 since it the P-64 is starting to become more available and widespread. Stan from customer service replied back...he thanked me for the suggestion but stated that Hogue has no plans to make grips for the P-64. Dangitall. :'(

Firing pin spring

I have got to find a better way to install the safety detent, its almost as bad as assembling a S&W revolver.
That right there makes me to never want to change the firing pin spring !

Best IWB holster (better fit: PPK or SigP230?)

This is the holster I got today. Made by James Kirk of Backwoods Leather. It is a IWB holster w/ clip fitted for the PPK. Excellent fit and finish. I will be calling him for another holster for my snubby. http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj256/robrinker_bucket/IMG_1510.jpg http://i274.photobucket....

Best IWB holster (better fit: PPK or SigP230?)

Here's the prob: I have a Polish P64 (1973 triangle hammer) which I recently purchased. Great little gun by the way. Yeah, it had the DA trigger from the Planet Thor, but I have since changed out the hammer spring and it is now a great little pistol to shoot in DA as well as SA mode. Cheap, well mad...

Wolff supplies a firing pin spring with the purchase of a new main spring? Why? When changing out the trigger spring, is it necessary to change the firing pin spring too??

P64 with triangle hammer

Is there a significance in the difference? Is the round hammer more scarce than the triangle?

best trigger weight

I am ready to change out my trigger spring because the standard weight is awful. I have read all the other threads regarding this, but there seems to be no general consensus as to the best weight. I plan on always carrying my P64 in a holster.

Should I go with 16, 17, 18 or 19lbs (and why)?

Awaiting the arrival of my P-64

Greetings, everyone. I am new to this site and just wanted to say hello. I am currently waiting for my P-64 to arrive at my local ffl sent from a member on another forum. I can honestly can say that I have never seen a P-64, let alone handle or shot one, so it was real dice roll when I bought it. I ...
